"You should add some mayo," he says, pointing at one of the pans currently cooking a dish that does not, in fact, require any mayo. He doesn't wait to hear Rindou's feedback of his genius idea as he hops off the counter to grab a bottle of ketchup instead, holding it over the pan and about to squeeze it, grin growning with mischief. "Better yet, I'll do it for you. Aren't I so kind?"

The thing about Ran is that he's asleep when he shouldn't be, and awake when it's time to purposely inconvenience others. "Stop eating those!" he snaps, moving to bat at Ran's hand giving up when a timer begins to ring. Forced to abandon his Ran-wrangling duties, he turns over his shoulder and mutters, "Don't blame me when you don't have any for later." He grabs one too, biting off the smiling face of the snowman printed sugar cookie. It may be the only one he gets with Ran's sticky fingers sneaking them behind his back.

Mayo???? Snapping his head up, he stares offendedly at Ran sputtering as he sees the ketchup hanging over his still-cooking dish. "Stop messing around, you're eating it later too!" Grabbing the ketchup, he watches in horror as the cap flies off hitting the wall and ping-ponging beneath the table. Ketchup lays on top up the unfinished food like a massive hill.

"..."

Clearing his throat, Rindou settles on three compliments. He can do that without dying of embarrassment and that way Ran can't say something like all these years, and you only have one nice thing to say?

"Ran has a good sense of style." There! One compliment out of the way. It's not like it's any secret that Roppongi's kings only wear the best. "He's pretty strong too. Definitely won more fights with him then without." And okay, Rindou has won his fair share and only tied a few when alone, but even he can admit they work better as a team. Grumbling under his breath, Rindou finishes the last compliment, "There'snooneelseIratherhaveasabrother."

“What, big brother isn’t here so you can’t make up your mind?” Sanzu can’t help but taunt him instead of giving a direct answer, sifting through the various shirts that had been thrown his way prior. After a few moments he holds up one to himself, humming as he envisions himself in it and after another heartbeat, shrugs and decides it’s good enough. He doesn’t bother to turn away, unfazed by Rindou’s presence as he begins to unbutton his own shirt, talking aloud as he does so.  

“So, what’s our game plan? Should we hide out ‘til things calm down or should we get the jump on them first?” 

Sanzu discards his bloodied shirt on the floor, kicking it under the bed as he pulls on his new shirt, buttoning it up and adjusting his cuffs. A small groan sounds from the floor and Sanzu glances back over at the man, turning to deliver a swift kick to his ribs - earning another pained groan.

 “Oh shut up, you’re fine! He’s fine, right?” The pink haired man smiles to Rindou as he taps his fingers against his chin, humming to himself. “… He might be trouble though, so I think we ought to deal with him. Say, let’s lock him in the bathroom.” He bends down, giving a small grunt as he grabs the man by his arms and hoists him into an upright position. Sanzu pauses to catch his breath, glancing back up at Rindou with a pout. 

 “Hey, give me a hand here.. he’s fucking heavy.” 

“ Shut it , I can make my own decisions. ” Rindou scowls , snatching the clothes without further thought. He doesn’t need his big brother for everything , okay  — ? It’s just convenient to leave fashion to the ones who seem to live for the newest in-season shoes. 

— and listen if his “boss,” is going to flash him , Rindou has no qualms about that either. The weights he lifts aren’t for show , and he’s never had any reservations about showing off what he’s got. Peeling off his own clothes ( goodbye brand names ) for the trashy man’s he’s half way to dressing when the pathetic man starts making noise once again.It’s instinct to start hitting first and asking questions later , so he joins in with kicking the groaning man. “ He’s not going to be fine soon if he doesn’t shut up. ”

Oh! It's Ran plush.

The smaller , but much more mischievous ( if that was even possible ) version of his brother. He hadn't seen this mysterious rascal in quite a while and had assumed he had ran off to conquer some plush territory that was beyond what human beings were allowed to know. Kneeling down and scoops up the nui , and places him on his shoulder.

" Did you eat yet ? " he asks , taking out a plushie dessert specifically for this situation and putting it in his hands. ( If Ran was eating , he couldn't cause trouble. )

" See mini me lately ? Are you bullying him too much ? "

"I'm not scared!" It has nothing to do with fear and everything to do with this damn ghost is messing with him. If it were a person , he'd just go handle it himself , but a supernatural entity should be handled by another supernatural entity.

This is weird. He likes Takemichi well enough , there's no one around here who doesn't — not after all these years at least. Rindou may not be the same kid who picks fights on the streets , but he certainly doesn't hesitate to drag a few people out back behind the club and deal with them when the time calls for it. Being hugged was as foreign as Ran's designer clothes.

" You good ? "

Rindou looks left. Rindou looks right.

There's no one around. Without a word he hops onto Inupi's motorcycle, only taking a second to adjust his glasses. He pats his pocket to make sure he's got the tickets he fought someone for with yen and then fists. Rindou may not be on exactly friendly terms with Inupi, but he can trust him to keep his mouth shut. It's not like he talks much anyways.

When Rindou's first thought is: it's my nephew, he knows he's already lost his mind thanks to Ran and their boss, but all things considering there's something oddly stylish about the eggplant shaped keychain. Even with his glasses, Rindou can't tell if Yaki is holding a knife or if it was a trick of the light making the cellphone strap appear a little more ominous then it truly was.

There's a fucking ghost in this apartment.

Yes , there has to be one , even though Rindou knows ghost aren't real and only stupid little kids believe in them. There's no other explanation , not when his beloved equipment is under attack. The poltergeist could be any number of people they've gotten on the bad side over the years , and if he could he'd twist them again , but he can't see them and it's not a glasses thing.

It's a good thing he knows a supernatural 'expert.'

"Ran." and he says this very seriously , waving him over. "Nii-chan, can you come here?"
