Phoenix smirked as he sauntered over looking over the person’s shoulder, “The fuck is that?” He questioned quirking a brow. “Which teacher did you get that from?”

“I don’t know but it has the words “quivered,” and “moist,” on one page so it can’t be good.” He said with a wry grin. “The maths teacher, obviously. They’re always the freaks.” 

“U-uh…I g-guess when they told me t-that I was g-going to be c-coming to P-Plath, I was s-scared, because I h-heard there were dangerous p-people here. B-but, now, I g-guess I’m…I m-made a friend, and I’m…h-happy? I’m not really s-sure.” 

“So you heard bad things about Plath? What exactly did you hear, did you know about The Creeper? Glad you made friends here, by the way.” 

“U-um…okay. I h-hope I can a-answer them!” 

“Okay, first one, what did you think of here before you arrived, and do you feel any different about it now you’re here?”

ashton: i'll make sure not to destroy her wardrobe then [ who is your roommate?

ashton: ill tell her to evacuate beforehand, im an arsonist not a murderer

ashton: math just sucks full stop, imagine hating yourself enough to take that up as a career

mercy: the government doesn't care about the serial killers @ plath i'm p sure they don't care about a little bit of arson

mercy: better than math homework at least

ashton: don't point out that plath is inherently a flawed instituion or the government will get you, amateur

ashton: and for the record it would be a lot of arson, not a little bit

mercy: i like how ur trying 2 pretend ur not the one who did it

mercy: my little brother almost shoved a lego up his nose earlier, but that's about it so far

ashton: well i can't incriminate myself over messages, the government are always watching 👀

mercy: you're so sweet to me

mercy: you better i want full commentary and live streaming at the very least

ashton: ill record myself running away from the psycho who did it as im screamin lmao enjoy

mercy: you better not b causing too much trouble w/o me

mercy: if you do, you should at least take pics

“Rude, rude. Here I thought you were a jerk with a heart of gold, but you’re just a jerk,” she teased, rolling her eyes at him. “3/4ths loser, ¼th total loser,” she insisted. “Is that what that is? I thought it was just a bad sense of style.”

“Again, we’ve been through this. My aesthetic is silver, not gold. The jerk comment is true though, without being a cynical jerk what personality would I have?” He said self-deprecatingly. “You’re just one whole total loser,” he assured her. “ Bad sense of style? Now you’re really trying to make me stop talking to you.” 

“Pretty sure you don’t have to walk in a still picture, genius. You don’t have to worry about looking like a Botched reject; you already got that look down to perfection,” he teased. “Sometimes cliche is just the right amount of obvious that it makes it fun.”

“You’re delusional if you don’t think I’d be a runway model, I’m tall and thing, isn’t that all that’s required? I suppose you would know all about looking like a Botched reject, your face doesn’t look like it was cheap,” he retorted, a smirk playing on his lips. “I think I’m fun anyway.” 

“Oh, will you now? Sounds like you just want to get me alone, which means you probably either want to make out with me or murder me and I’m not sure which one I’m hoping for,” she teases in rebuttal over the graduation comment. “3/4th loser, how about that? Are you kidding? Being my friend will make you seem tough as shit.”

“Well I’m not about to fly you somewhere really nice just to make out with you, but now you’ve ruined the murder surprise so the trip’s cancelled,” he joked, following with a fake dramatic sigh. “I can settle for 3/4th’s. But I will not settle with you saying you make me seem tough as shit, I have the bad boy vibe that does that for me thank you very much.” 

“Or maybe it’s the whole ‘never been to an ocean’ thing. That might be it too. You’re just rude, I think that’s the problem here.” She let out a laugh, though she tried to stifle it. “Wow, sweet talk me some more, why don’t you? I mean, what would I do without you? Get a friend that’s not a total loser? God forbid.”

“You’re not missing out on much, I’ve been to much better beaches than this though, I’ll take you to some of them when you graduate. So how long is that now, like 6 more years?” He asked, grinning at her, deliberately ignoring the rude comment. “Total loser is a tad harsh, I’m like half loser at most. Also, don’t call me your friend in public, it might ruin my street rep.”
