Do you guys think that Maneki can’t speak or that the Toungue-Tied Enigma can’t speak?

In other words, do you think Maneki is actually non-verbal or that they’re simply forbidden from speaking as part of their role? The comment I saw was a theory that Maneki got arrested for knowing about a murder and not speaking up about it (hence the “accessory to murder” conviction), so it got me wondering if Maneki is genuinely unable to speak, or if the producers just heard that he didn’t talk (to the police) and decided to make that part of his character.

I just find it so weird that they chose that, of all things, as their “evidence” that sharpwolf is a toxic ship. Usually when people pull evidence out of their ass to try and prove a point, they do it because they don’t have any actual evidence to pull from. They have to make shit up to keep their argument from looking completely baseless. But the claim that “sharpwolf is a darkship” has so much evidence within the actual source material that making shit up to try and prove your point just makes you look even more stupid. It’s like saying “Hitting children is bad because when you hit children, they spontaneously combust and take everything within a 5 mile radius with them.” Like yeah, your argument is true, but your “evidence” makes you sound like a nutcase.

Like this was a long ass journey. Both times Eurylochus called for them to stop, they were probably days, if not weeks away from home. If they didn’t eat, they could’ve starved to death. Not to mention they were rowing these boats. That shit takes effort and energy. How are they supposed to have the strength to row if they don’t eat?

Don’t get me wrong, the sun cow thing was objectively stupid. The hunger could not have been so heavy, you were willing to knowingly spite a god over it. Y’all did this with a cyclops and it turned into a bloodbath. Were you really expecting better from a god? However, starvation has been known to severely cloud people’s judgement, so while it was stupid, I still can’t really label that as Eurylochus being “greedy.”

Odysseus offers every possible solution to leave Astyanax while still preventing him from becoming a future threat and the gods basically say “That won’t work because we personally will make sure it doesn’t work. These are the options we’re giving you. The choice is yours.”

It happens here, it happens with the cyclops (and Athena), it happens with Zeus, it happens with Poseidon. Time and time again, Odysseus is presented with decisions in which there is no option that preserves his morals. Even in situations where he initially had no power (Eurylochus killing the sun cow), he is given power solely to make a cruel decision.

Athena commands Odysseus to kill the cyclops because he could become a future threat and abandons Ody when he refuses.

Eurylochus kills a sun cow and Odysseus is given the choice of sacrificing his own life or his entire crew (as opposed to just killing Eurylochus if the cow was really that important, which it didn’t seem to be since Helios didn’t do jack shit himself).

Poseidon tells Odysseus to “get in the water” (basically telling him to kill himself) or he’ll send a storm to Ithaca that will drown his wife and son.
