“ Not a twinkie fan ? ” Asher asked as he saw the offending pastry arc into a nearby trash receptacle. “ It wasn’t a banana one was it ? Those are an absolute travesty. Ding Dongs are a superior cheap pastry, or else like a Table Talk Apple Pie ! ” 

Asher was a bit sideswiped when their friend came barreling out of nowhere, but they caught her up in a hug with a happy grin. “ Billie ! Hey girl ! Oh my, thank you ! ” Thankfully they had no work today which meant they would be free to do whatever struck the fancy of Billie all day. “ What inspired it ? Honestly I picked out my least worn article of clothing and challenged myself to make it into something I’d love. And as for where I’m going, anywhere you wanna ! ”

“ Hmmm, ” their brow furrowed slightly as they thought. “ Is there perhaps a way to meld the two ? Like maybe it starts with like a modern fantasy setting but then they find out they aren’t alone in the universe ? Or like you could make it so Elves and Fae types of fantasy creatures are actually aliens and put them in a spaceship or something like that ? ”

Irvin sighed.” Asher I need your help.” He finally said looking away from his laptop and turning his attention to his roommate.” If you had to choose on what to read would you rather go for a sci-fi kinda plot that doesn’t take itself too seriously or something more modern fantasy? I’m trying to figure out on what to write but my head just feels empty.” 

“ Depends, ” Asher responded, “ What exactly does ‘Modern Fantasy’ mean ? ” High fantasy they knew all about, in fact t was literally their favourite genre, but Sci-Fi was a close second anyway. “ I probably can help better if I understand what that actually, y’know, means, ” they added with a laugh.
