There's a comfortable silence with the campers away doing their activities. Giving Laura and you a chance to reorganize the medical supplies, and put notes in the campers files. Finishing up your last note there's a knock on the door before it opens making you look over your shoulder
Jacob pops his head in the door before walking in with a grin on his face and heading towards you
"There you are!"
"Yeah? This is where I was assigned."
You laugh as you look back at the file, closing it when Jacob comes up behind you and rests his head on top of yours and putting his arms around your shoulders, giving you a back hug
"Are you done with what you're doing?"
"Yeah, what's up?"
Getting out of the chair you grab the file and walk towards the cabinet while Jacob follows after you. You put the file away while Laura comes out of the backroom
"Everything has been reorganized, the kids containers are i- Oh. Hey Jacob"
Laura stops in her tracks and waves to Jacob, receiving one in return before she walks past you and Jacob to sit at the desk. Jacob spins you around and grabs your hands
"Do you have anything left to do? I wanna spend some time with you."
"I'm not sure-"
"-No. They don't have anything to do."
With a grin Jacob starts to pull you towards the door before opening it and letting you leave first. Closing it behind you he leads you over to a picnic table by the nurses station, he climbs on top of it and takes a seat, gesturing for you to join him. With a smile you climb up onto the table and lay down, putting your head in his lap
"Why aren't you with the campers?"
"I got bored, and realized that they have the supervision of Ryan. I decided why not come see my favorite nurse"
Jacob leans down with a teasing smile, and pecks your lips. He leans back up before sitting you up and moving his legs around you, pulling your back to his chest he wraps his left arm around your shoulders and rests his right arm on your leg. Nuzzling his head into where you neck and shoulder meets, you can feel him breathing
"I just wanna be close to you right now"
"Alright, you wanna stay like this for a little?"
You can feel him nod, with a smile you interlock your hand with his right one before leaning your head against his. You don't realize how long you've sat there until you can hear the screams and laughs of the campers approaching.
