Rather than being told what to do, we are dictating what is in the media.
With a presentational media format , there will be issues surrounding what is real or fake or legitimate. The Huffington Post articleĀ seems to think things like a Twitter Bot is a negative aspect of this new media shift. The facts from the bot are informative, and it is produced instantaneously through a system, being more efficient, so really if we donāt start to accept these and embrace them, we will just lag behind the technology.
Ā I think the fact we can analyse our social network in itself speaks louder than words. We can analyse our every interaction.
Harner from MediaShiftĀ tends to think our presentational media ways have led us into a path where we overcompensate on what we present but still miss the point. That I tend to agree with- is it really necessary to post EVERYTHING on twitter, like does anyone care what you ate for breakfast, answer is people probably do.
So do we still have a personality with our new found love of online personas?
