the fire of that friendship - that bond - that is your strength, my prince

You both shared tremendous passion but also emotional pains that fueled the fires in your bellies. More than any other member of Team Avatar, Katara forced you to grow up, pushing you to become the man I knew you could be

And it was there something beautiful grew from grief: a friendship built from the bonds of warriors united in heart and cause

and Iroh’s internal monologue in this scene:

“I can handle Azula”

“Not alone.”

“Katara, would you like to help me put Azula in her place”

Thankfully he is not so stubborn anymore.
