I'm have trouble deciding when Grace and Simon meet so I wanted to leave it up to y'all!

Regardless Simon is starting out on the Hail Mary I've decided but depending on when really changes the scenario so propaganda under the cut :)

I kinda figured out how to draw faces so... yay! Shout out to my partner @epsigraft for the help with that :)

I mostly draw wings of fire so I prefer if you sent those kinds of dragons :)

Not an OC but here is Blister

See how the legs are segmented by color? How the tail is broken up, how the eyebrows are placed? These parts help me keep track of details and their locations, otherwise my sail might slide around, or my legs would get longer or shorter during movement.

Here is a young Darkstalker headshot.

The spines are simplified, the eyes are large, there are plenty of Nightwing traits that separate him from sandwings other than just his color

And here is older Darkstalker.

It's still the same character, but his outline has changed. He's sharper and spinier, but still easy to animate.

Body segmenting helps me break down and simplify characters for animation, it helps me keep track of my dragons body proportions, and with a bit of practice allows me to make small changes to my character that show age.

Here is a wip of an old art fight attack so you can see the body segments in motion.

I haven't done much animating but I have done a small amount. I haven't tried to animate anything for nearly a year but I did segment the body a similar way. But if I were to animate again I might segment the body like this:

I assume this is what you mean. This would certainly help maintain scale patterning and body shape while in motion.

And if you were curious, this is one of the only animations I've made

I'm looking for critique because I feel like my art has stagnated a bit and I don't really know where to start to fix that, and I've been wanting to change somethings about my art for a while now so yeah. I feel like some critique would be very helpful right now.

Feel free to critique: my style, my anatomy or my designs where I've labeled them

ALSO, I want to test out critiques on other people's ocs as it gets a bit difficult to apply critique to stuff that already has my style.
