Lilith’s Red Carpet but make it twst.

Lilith would be Vil, for obvious reasons

Her companions who were played by Clara and Keroli will probably be Epel and Rook, but I am tempted to put Rook elsewhere. If I do, it might be Epel and Ortho as Vil’s companions

I’m trying to figure out who would be the other lovers. Some I have ideas for and others I don’t, so feel free to make suggestions. I’d prefer to keep the lovers to second and third years, except maybe Aleph, since Aleph is young and innocent admiration.

For Bet, Jamil is the obvious choice. Scheming snake dancer clad in black. Gimel could be Kalim to match and parallel, but I don’t know.

As for Dalet, He, and Vav, I don’t have anyone particular in mind. Maybe Trey as Dalet and Riddle as Vav? If I do put Rook as a lover he could be a good He.

Zayin is also a tricky one. If we take it to be a literal prince in question, then it would probably be Malleus or Leona, but I have a better place for Leona. Malleus could fit with the thorns and such but I don’t think it really fits his demeanour.

The next one has to be Leona. I think it’s self explanatory why.

Finally, there is the elusive Yodh. From the premise of remaining out of sight, I think Idia would best fit this role, especially with the fire themes. The one issue with that is that I feel like Yodh should be one of the most popular Vil ships, and I don’t think Idia really fits that bill. My personal favourite Vil ship is Rookvil, and I guess Rooks nature as a hunter could work for staying out of sight, but there are a lot of other potential places for Rook so I’m not sure.

The drop mechanic helps me not waste time trying to search every nook and cranny of everywhere I go and actually move forward, I’ve only been dropping once per character per world. This does mean I’m a bit under levelled, but I don’t mind the challenge.

The story thus far is not the greatest thing ever but I got to see my favourite character again so it’s worth it, plus kingdom hearts games tend to get more interesting story wise the deeper in you get

I also really like the movement in it, it’s a lot more fluid than the previous games and I quite enjoy the flowmotion mechanic. It’s really fun to dash between the walls and slide on bannisters and such, plus it makes combat more interesting. I love games with fun movement so that alone makes dream drop distance interesting, and my main qualm with other kingdom hearts games (mostly kingdom hearts 1) was the lack of movement abilities (I abused the hell out of dodge roll because it was literally the only thing semi fast)

Riku is so gay. Not just gay for Sora. He’s so gay. Look at him, listen to him. The way he talks to women is also very gay. He’s not disrespectful, but as pointed out by Shiki, he seems a little bit disinterested and less courteous than most straight men would be. His whole thing at the start of kingdom hearts 1 where he starts joking about sharing a paopu fruit with Kairi also reads a lot like the trope of ‘I’m going to pretend to be interested in the person you like so that you give me more attwntion’, which is makes a lot of sense with him being gay especially considering their ages at the time. Anyways up until the final scene of kingdom hearts 2 and Dream Drop Distance as a whole, I just thought ‘Riku is gay’ but his entire demeanour in dream drop distance reads as ‘Riku is gay for Sora’.

Sora on the other hand, while I know a lot of people think he is gay, or at least requites Riku’s feelings, reads as straight to me. He cares a lot about Riku yes, but it’s a deep friendship, not an attraction. Watching the Dream Drop Distance cutscenes, it really just seems like Sora trusts his friend will pull through. Sora is generally very friendly and trusting, but his demeanour contrary to Riku’s feels like a friendly courtesy to everyone, and he does express some different tendencies around female characters. Plus, I think his feelings for Kairi really are genuine, and I can’t really see him as not at the least having a crush on her. If he is bi or something similar, I would feel he has a strong preference for women.

Kairi doesn’t really get all that much development throughout kingdom hearts (at least not as far as I’ve gotten) so I don’t have much to say about her, but I think she reciprocates Sora’s feelings. She hasn’t really had much interaction with other characters beyond those of destiny islands.

Mickey and Minnie are both bisexual. They love each other very much and just generally seem like the standard mxf bi for bi couple.

Donald. Is probably straight. He and Goofy are in some kind of queerplatonic relationship, adopting kids (Sora) together. Other than that, his actual sexual and romantic tastes seem pretty hetero.

Goofy is acearo in my heart. He has something queerplatonic going on with Donald and is a great father, but it’s not a matter of attraction, he just likes taking care of kids.

All of organization XIII are transgender. Just trust me on this okay.

Axel/Lea is very gay. His demeanour and motifs, his rebelling against the norm, all the gay ass things he says to other men. Also just look at him. He’s my favourite kingdom hearts character.

Roxas/Ventus is bisexual. Not much to say. He treats both men and women with the same type of affection. He dual wields keyblades. Actually a lot of his character revolves around duality. It only makes sense.

Xion is greysexual/romantic. While she does somewhat become her own person, she is also an amalgamation of the thoughts and feelings of others. Her feelings are somewhat muddled and confusing.

I tried to make Kalim pants but there was a disaster at the pants factory so I had to abort mission and I’ll try again tomorrow. I’ll also probably crochet him a little cardigan tomorrow (sleeveless)
