Before Love passed of old age, they hid hundreds of little notes all over Xanthus’s house and estate for him to find, so that even when they passed, he’d have part of them to find, something other than memories of their voice haunting him, they gave him words they hadn’t said in life, reminders to take care of himself, and everything they knew he’d need when they were gone. Xanthus kept all the notes, folding them into paper stars, keeping them in a jar on his night stand as a tangible reminder of their love for him.

this is the reason why I honestly want love to grow old because as cool as it would be if they became a vampire, there's something genuinely amazing if they grew old with xanthus
