oh! a pigeon with a letter! come inside, you must be so hungry, let’s feed you and give you some water. Are you tired? let’s give you something to nest.

The letter? lost somewhere, now I’m invested in the pigeon. The pigeon is my guest and will remain my guest until I realize: what was the pigeon doing here? oh, right, A LETTER, where was it. And I spend a whole day looking for the letter. Then another business day writing the letter, but then I realize I misplaced my wax seal and I can’t just send it like that, so I have to look for it. I forget the letter again, spend time with the pigeon, I don’t want it to leave. Then a couple of days later I find the wax seal in a cupboard (don’t ask) and grab the letter from a tower of books in the living room. I light a candle, melt the wax with the spoon thingy, press the seal and it’s done. But the pigeon can’t just go like this, I must feed it, give it water, some cuddles, and it’s so cold out!! maybe wait until the weather is nicer? so a couple of weeks go by. It’s spring now. Prime flying weather.

I get another letter, via another pigeon. They assume the first pigeon got lost.
