hold on they didn't skip foundations because the tour's over. they skipped it because it wasn't out when they were young. this festival does not get the dignity of the new single. it wants nostalgia well it can fucking have it

the juxtaposition of la5 vs. wwwyf. the most emotional, vulnerable, hand-holding concert they’ve ever held, playing cuts so deep none of us even thought they remembered the titles, playing all but two off of may death never stop you, playing fake your death, their eulogy, gerard crying in the middle of the verse because of how much they felt for the audience, spending the whole show holding each other and smiling and screaming and beaming to a crowd they felt held by. completely bare of makeup so we could see all of their eyes. versus this, where they’re only playing the hits, refusing to even mention foundations, their thesis statement of a new beginning, dressing in their ill-fitting old costumes and old sfx makeup that makes them look three quarters dead, barely even talking to the crowd, not caring at all that a third of the audience left after wttbp, gerard intentionally lowering their voice and growling to make fun of how they used to act, to make fun of their old persona as an Ironic Male Rockstar. this band is not going fucking anywhere. and they’re doing it their way.
