The Keyseeker may be flawed but their defect offers an adaptation in this AU. Where their shell begins to fracture as they begin to slowly steal the power of the one trying to use them as a puppet. They will come to ascend into a new form in time! This is just a tease~

This creature remains disappointing Radiance by not being a menace. It’s only in their true colors here most would figure out the link between them! Created by the Radiance somehow just as the first accidental Keyweaver came to be and eventually became the source of the power that Keyweavers draw from. Awakened fully when Radiant Keyspider blessed Keyseeker. Was then ordered to make others remember Radiance but unfortunately Key Radiance proved to be rebellious and did the opposite choosing to remain rather docile and friendly with a power that pulls others into a peaceful dream. Even now they defy the one who created them and even go by a new name: Keys Light!

So what was the fate of Spears brother? Well one day a lifeless husk of a bug ends up dragged out of the abyss underneath the key beast cave. When the shell breaks open a shade hides in the corner of someone’s room. It seems his efforts to save his sister has left him forever altered by the Void as revenge. His glowing blue eyes and form are all that remains to indicate who he once was. His memories are hazy but he remembers his sister. But what would she think if she met him again in this state? He may have gotten his freedom…But at a cost.

Story-wise this was how he looked back when he was with Spear before letting the Void take him so she could escape. His current whereabouts and appearance are unknown.

Spear is a traveling soul who seeks to reunite with her brother who sacrificed himself to the Void to let his sister escape successfully. Her hair is roots that are lined by frail thorns and her eyes are a vibrant blue. Her body is a fragile soft shell but this hasn’t stopped her from fighting to defend herself. Spear is fully grown but suffers from the infection. She wears a tattered cape and carries a spear. One arm was lost in a scuffle. The mask is metallic. At one point in time she replaces her mortal fragility for a new body but this ref is for her first appearance.

(Part of an AU where Keyseeker and Hollow swapped roles)

Had an idea for an AU where Hollow and Keyseeker had their roles swapped but disaster strikes because Keyseeker can’t contain anything and no one finds out until it’s too late. But the keys call still gets answered so we get a variant of The Keyweaver who looks a little different from the one in the normal universe.
