There is a dragon-creature at her feet and a curly-furred dog in the border watching her work. Panel 6: 3-4: “Lamentacius weping”. MC kneels in a spare space evocative of a monastery. Her eyes are open and her tears radiate out in front of her, across the panel. Panel 7: 5-6: “Loke stew ov bef.” MC and her sister prepare beef stew in a great cauldron over an open flame. The cauldron hangs from a hook with a creature’s face on it. Panel 8: 7: “Souppe and Sportance”. MC and her sister sit on the couch with their soup and watch television, a floating screen surrounded by clouds and divine radiance. This panel incorporates some one point perspective in depicting the couch and TV stand. The curly dog from panel 5 is on the floor under the TV, and the ends of the couch arms have faces. Panel 9: 8-1: “Writ komyc a-geyn”. MC writes comics. The dragon-creature and dog are sleeping; the background is dark blue and dotted with a moon and stars. Panel 10: 2: “Vexacion ov Angwissh bestes”. MC, now in yellow sleeping-clothes in bed, looks with open eyes and a tormented expression on a crowd of anguish beasts. The beasts are varied in form and color, and evoke medieval manuscript beasts. They are saying: “ydiote”, “lewd sloven”, “weche koward”, and “Remembre þy wikkidness and schame ov þyr yiuth”. /End ID]
