Clementine’s expression softened,
but the anger and frustration was
still pounding in her heart; ushering
it aside like a yappy terrier, she
couldn’t focus on her feelings alone,
her two others sisters, her only family
left both suffering from the betrayal of
a man who said that he loved them.
He was the only father she knew, she
never knew her folks. She only knew
her sisters and Felix.
Surprisingly hesitant, she stepped over to
the eldest sides, one thing she was grateful
for was that Fiona didn’t have the explosive
temper Sasha had, she was bit more…
collective of her feelings, almost bottling
which worried her. Her hand went to hers,
smaller digits curling around Fiona’s.

Fiona noticed the girl inching closer, and wondered at her hesitance. Was
she really so intimidating? Or was her sister just being cautious of what
she said, or did? Either way, it made her feel a little bad. She wasn’t
trying to keep anyone at arms length... Well, not her family, anyways. The
other unfortunate members of their group were another story entirely.
This was too personal a topic for those idiots, and she was glad for the
separation from them because of it, even if they were off getting eaten by
skags or something.
“I have too much self respect to constantly dump my problems on a
two-year-old, pipsqueak.”
She said it in the rudest way she could muster, but there was a curl in her
lips that made it obvious she was holding back a smirk. She turned her
hand around and sighed, squeezing Clem’s smaller one.
“Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind for when Sasha will bite my head off if
I talk to her... But I -- ... speaking of Felix... did you end up opening
your box from him?”
