Like yeah it was dope to be around other boricuas and sing and scream about how much we love our island but politically it was lacking. They demanded the end of the Jones Act and cancelling the debt but if connections can't be made to the status of the island as a colony of the US and what US imperialism has done to the land and people of Puerto Rico then the calls for action don't ring true, and like a few bad ass two minute speeches don’t make up for that gap in organizing. But idk if that makes me one of those trash people that complain about shit but don’t do nothing about it (it probably does) but I think if certain groups are removed (thehispanicfederation) then we could actually have like a really fucking radical ass protest.
