I'm busy polishing the rough draft for the sequel to my TGCF fic Paper Memories, and I'm looking for a couple people to beta for me. I will preface by saying that though Xie Lian and Hua Cheng do have parts to play in this story, this is mainly a Beefleaf fic and the majority of the POVs are from them, as well as the Three Tumors and the OG Ming Yi. XL has one POV chapter and HC has none.

I would prefer my betas to be familiar with the previous story, but it's not a requirement (I could give you a summary). I just would like a couple folks to read over it and focus on flow, obvious grammar mistakes, and to point out any confusion or inconsistencies in the plot. I wrote these chapters out of order and it might show lmao.

It's roughly 60k words long. I don't have a set deadline, but I would reeeally like to start posting before this year is over. So hard deadline would be New Years, but honestly, I would prefer to start tossing this out before December and the holiday season when everyone gets too busy.

Oh lawd I havent been reading a lot of fic lately haha. I feel like all my recs would be stuff ppl already know about. I'll try to skip most of the Classics that everyone recs and give you an assortment.

Right now I'm actively reading (in progress fics): The Supplicant (XL can hear all HC's inner thoughts/prayers) and Bring Down the Moon (vampire AU). Also, this series is fun so far (XL & HC dealing with the 33 officials who have now become vengeful ghosts). If you are into AUs that involve nonhuman hualian, I'd also recc Paid in Blood (Fairy XL/ Vampire HC). Paper Flowers for the God of Gods (Flower God XL) is fabulous and possibly does count as a classic atp. I love this wulian series, and this should already be known by now. Back to the Light is another good Wuming Survives fic. The Resocialization of Xie Lian is a fav if youre into coffin recovery themes. Just about anything by GhostTour tbh I love their fics but they can also be Rough. On that note, if you actually want something really dark and love Whump/Comfort then this series takes it to the extreme but PLEASE mind the tags they are not fucking around at all with the noncon cw (and its not by HC ofc).
