hucklerobby actually gets SO much crazier when you remember that dennis really hasn't spent much time in the ER at all, and yet robby is still acting like this towards him.

like, post season 1, dennis spends at maximum six more weeks there with robby since he's only doing his ER roatation. he hasn't matched yet and he's still a med student. sure, we can assume that after s1 dennis keeps making a good impression on robby, and that robby picks him as a favourite very fast, but that doesn't change the fact that he spends a relatively small amount of time there.

then, before s2, dennis hasn't seen robby in at least EIGHT MONTHS. he's been doing the rest of his rotations, exams, and finally getting matched in the ER. season 2 is one of his first days back there after the majority of a year away (i can't remember if it's his second day or fourth day) during which he's not worked under robby at all or had any contact with him.

despite this, not only is robby incredibly deeply invested in dennis, what dennis is doing, how he's teaching new students, AND his personal life, he also invites dennis into his house for the next three months. he gives his housekey to a man he hasn't seen in nearly a year. he also goes on to describe dennis, who's been a resident less than a week, as "one of my best residents" to one of his best friends.

like. this is INSANE. this isn't a nearly a year long relationship between them, this is less than two months total, and robby still clearly fucking adores him. if THIS is how they act when they still barely know one another, and robby is this touchy and this possessive and this delighted by dennis, and dennis is this giddy from robby's praise, where the fuck do we go from here?? how obsessed with each other will they be of in close contact for longer??

#otp: balance #hucklerobby #the pitt #like i know some ppl don't see how deep it is and that's fine.#but it should be WEIRD that they are this close. there is some very uncomfortable stuff going on between the two of them #that neither of them touch upon #not that it's uncomfortable *for* them #but objectively anyone looking into this relationship should be asking why on earth robby imprinted this hard.#no one else (that we know of) knows about them together in pedes #no one else (that we know of) knows that they connected even briefly over their ideas of faith #on the first day they met!#on one of the most impactful and traumatic days of robby's life!#on the surface yes it just seems like robby picked a fav.#but if u even think about it just a bit more... it suddenly becomes so obvious that there is this unspoken *thing*#that makes them revere the other person and treat them the way they do #robby being obsessed with both hiding his issues from whitaker + entrusting him with “all his shit”? and whitaker unable to refuse?#there's something deeply codependent about that even if they never talk about it #(remember when that fresh resident from surgery showed up for langdon's sepsis patient?)#(do we think robby would've said 'no offense but i need a grown up' to whitaker? who also literally has been a resident for 2 weeks?)#the way they treat each other is objectively *weird* and that was WITHOUT knowing how little theyve actually seen each other.#i do think whitaker's just been in PTMC for his other rotations so he's probably popped back into the ER a bit #but he's definitely not been there full time at ALL between s1/s2. at most he's seen robby a combined month outside of his rotations.#sorry for the absolute ramble... i logged out of twitter for the weekend and have to get my thoughts out somewhere

honestly i thought it was specific to vtubers but quickly looking it up, it seems to be more open.... that said, it might be more difficult to set one up than i thought, so for now i'll just stick to classic comms outside vgen!

100% nothing anyone has ever heard of LOL 1 was only on the play store for a few months at the beginning of the pandemic, 1 was an educational thing for a client, and 1 is currently in pre-early access hell where it currently has a steam page but i don't think i'll share it until it finally opens early access
