amity sure loves to stare out that window, huh? but in HMC, she seemed resigned and apathetic, just going through the motions of being friends with people she didn’t even like. in EGF, after she and luz danced and saved the day, she looked out the window with longing–and you can’t long for something if you’ve already abandoned all hope. even though she isn’t happy in either scene, at least she wants something in EGF–or rather, at least she lets herself want something.

With many people talking about the 2010s cartoons being progressive by  representing LGBT such as 

LGBT weddings 

Main characters confirming their gay/lesbian/bi 

and side characters being gay

But as someone who was born in 2000s in Canada, there’s one cartoon LGBT representation that I barely hear anyone talk about and that is Jean from 6teen.

 She first appeared on the 89th episode of the show where Nikki befriends her and was curios if she’s lesbian or not.  Unlike most shows where they have to hints that they are gay and show it by the end, 6teen just spill the beans by having her say “Yes, I’m into girls”.
