THE DIVINE FEMININE

Archaeological evidence shows that all of our ancestors worldwide once worshipped a female creator. This female deity was the origin of all religions. For hundreds of thousands of years, we honored Her.  Beginning around the 7th century BCE in Jerusalem, 4th century C.E. in Rome, and 7th century in Mecca, sacred sites were violently conquered and looted for political gain. Nature-based matriarchy was suppressed by censorship and patriarchal appropriation. Angry that a prediction by a priestess came true, a king burned all priestesses alive and edited the original Goddess out of Judaism. Mother-Maiden-Crone was masculinized to 'father-son-holy ghost.' Mecca was attacked and Arab goddesses were pillaged & erased. Aztec deities were stolen and melted into Christian idols for the Vatican. In a fit of hysteria, man had desecrated his own Mother. The new male priesthoods resulted in child rape, witch burnings, genocide, war, colonialism, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, forced genital mutilation, forced pregnancies, & other unholy acts of male violence. The censorship, shaming, & control of womens bodies today is a result of unnatural male-is-god beliefs that have hurt mother earth and all genders. It's time to reclaim our roots. I visited ancient sacred sites throughout the Americas, Middle East & Europe, I have a masters degree in library and information science, a bachelor's degree in art history, and minored in Jewish Studies. Nature is my temple.
