In-ho, watching from outside, goes ‘what the actual fuck? this isn’t supposed to happen’. Without thinking (because he’s just too confused by what’s unfolding in front of him), he barges into the room. Maskless.

How do I put this?

Okay.

I'm a fic author. I am not an author publishing a work to be sold for profit. I'm just banging out my little tunes (so to speak). I get NOTHING from putting these on a public forum like AO3. NOTHING. Nothing except potentially providing entertainment and enjoyment to other people.

But how am I to know that other people have been entertained and have enjoyed my work if they don't tell me?

Putting my fics on AO3 is basically Putting them on a roadside stand with a donation jar.

The AO3 donation jar is the comment section.

Now unless your comment is rude, unkind or demanding, I, The Author, am not going to be annoyed at getting a donation for ANYTHING. Why would I?

This would be like a published author saying "hey what the heck are you buying my book for? I wrote that eight years ago, what are you doing giving me money for that you weirdo"

Posting a live fic is a beautiful thing. When a fic ends or has been published for a while, its a sad thing. There's a window people used to wait at for that fic.

When you comment on an old fic, you give the author the opportunity to revisit that fic. It's comforting and gratifying to know that this story still holds appeal.

And even more so if its old because that means that you found this because you were looking for it, not just because it happened to be at the top of the results because it's brand new.

TLDR

Final chapter Kylo and Hux are reunited and Hux's memories are returned to him.

From the beginning:

Hux wakes in a strange place face to face with General Organa of the Resistance. She tells Hux he is missing four years of his memories and that he and Ren's plan to run away from Snoke did nto go as planned.

Kylo misses his mate and regrets that their plans didn't exactly go off without a hitch. He should be hiding on a planet with Hux and playing the role of dutiful Alpha, but instead he's the new Supreme Leader. Kylo is no strategist, that was very much Hux's role in the Order, but now Kylo has to negotiate with his mother to get his mate back so they can shape the Galaxy to their liking and give back Hux his memories of their time together.
