Wireface basically moves in with Coat guy because he's scared to be alone, and with Coat guy around it's not so cold and lonely anymore. From the protagonist’s point of view, they’re just two pathetic, trembling idiots clinging to each other.

Coat guy sneaks out at night to hunt. But instead of becoming his prey, Wireface calms him down and becomes his little island of comfort. Not sure the murder thoughts fully go away, but the coziness always overrides them.

Coat guy gets jealous when he sees Wireface trying to communicate with the protagonist. (Is Wireface the protagonist’s favorite guest? The only one he actually talks to because of the language barrier?) Coat guy feels this fear of abandonment and loneliness because he thought he was the only one who could understand Wireface due to their shared isolation from society.

Everyone in the house notices the tension between them. The teenage girl (or whoever) becomes the ultimate shipper and decides to do something about it — locks them in the closet.

Wireface forces Coat guy to take a bath. Coat guy resists, they start tussling, and somehow both end up in the tub.

Coat guy wants to reveal his secret, so he tries to lift his shirt — but Wireface misunderstands completely, grabs his hands, and turns bright red. Now they’re both embarrassed. “Wait, is he gay? Oh god, he thinks I’m a pervert…”

Wireface has no clue what’s going on. He doesn’t know who Visitors are or why they’re dangerous. Coat guy takes full advantage of that and pulls him to his side. He’s his only friend — he’ll believe anything Coat guy tells him.

"For one person it’s modus ponens — for the other it’s modus tollens." Wireface is super curious. He examines the hole in Coat guy’s stomach that Coat guy hates so much. Coat guy asks ironically what he sees. Wireface replies that he sees an entire universe in front of him and leaves a kiss right on his solar plexus. (Based on their dialogues and Wireface’s music monologue, I think they’re both dreamy and emotionally introspective types.)

They knew each other before the cataclysm. Wireface remembers him. Cg doesn’t even remember himself.

Protag won’t let Wireface in. Coat guy gets kicked out. So Wireface follows him and takes care of him — gives him his sweater, finds food, hides them from the sun. Coat guy didn’t ask for any of this, he had already given up. But now this weird, strangely kind guy won’t leave him alone, and he starts to feel responsible for him. Seeing how much Wireface cares about his life makes Coat guy start caring about himself too.

Coat guy and Wireface are total outcasts among the other residents. One’s creepy and weird, the other doesn’t understand shit. So everyone’s like, “Just do whatever, just stay out of sight >_>” and basically ignores them hard. (That’s probably how they’ll survive — sneaking around together in the corners. Because of that, sometimes people from the basement might not even come back out… depends on how well Coat guy keeps himself under control and if he even tries)

Wireface uses the fact that no one understands him to say literally whatever the hell he thinks — no filter: random thoughts, jokes, playful roasts. It’s his way to blow off steam and entertain himself. All Visitors actually understand him, but they pretend they don’t so they don’t expose themselves.

Even with all those layers on, Coat guy moves super quietly, almost silently. It always catches Wireface off guard. Coat guy hates scaring him, so he’s trained himself to rustle his jacket and make little footsteps to announce he’s coming from far away.

Coat guy is the only one who can actually eat Wireface’s cooking. For everyone else it’s way too spicy and weird. Because of how his body reacts to the pepper and all the effort the foreigner put into it (just for him!), Coat guy feels like he’s actually getting warmer inside.

Neither of them can pronounce each other’s real names, so they just use short forms or nicknames. The others don’t even know their names anyway and just say “that guy 👉🏼”.

At first Wireface was being sneaky and gave Coat guy his orange sweater - the one he got from the dear friend that he misses like crazy — so he could smell that familiar home scent when he hugged him. But over time the old smell mixed with Coat guy’s, and now the whole thing is permanently associated with him. Wireface basically trapped himself.

Honestly, Coat guy wasn’t even thinking about anything intimate until Wireface started getting all touchy and invading his personal space. But then he realized it was a perfect way to tie Wireface to him, so he was the one who initiated. Wireface got flustered at first and tried to nobly resist (for dear friend’s sake), but he caved super fast — how the hell was he supposed to hold back?

Coat guy is a controlling top. He hates being vulnerable, especially being on the bottom — it makes him feel like a limp, lifeless body that’s just being used. He desperately needs control over something in his shitty life and will fight for it. So even if someone else starts, he’ll quickly flip them and end up on top. You’d never guess it looking at him.

8.2. Wireface is a switch. With dear friend he was always bottom (his friend’s idea). With Coat guy, over time he’ll trust him enough to let him top, but it’ll take a lot of calming down and talking so Coat guy doesn’t freak out and bail.

Coat guy is terrified of showing Wireface his hole. Though Wireface has already seen it — he couldn’t resist and peeked under the coat while Coat guy was sleeping. He got a nosebleed and a headache all day, but lied and said it was from solar flares so he wouldn’t break his trust.

They have a super codependent relationship: one protects the other, and they literally wouldn’t survive apart. For the foreigner, Coat guy is his only connection to this world and the only person who doesn’t look at him weird and fully accepts him. For Coat guy, the foreigner is the only one who ever showed him real care and warmth, his only reason to keep living.

All that thick dark body hair on Coat guy reminds Wireface of home (it’s a typical thing for guys from his country, while he himself epilates everything for aesthetic and sensory reasons).

Foreigner‘s melodic voice is so soothing it lulls Coat Guy to sleep. When Coat guy starts whispering in that husky low tone it gets Wireface all fired up.

Coat guy is obsessed with Wireface’s smell. Like cats who go nuts over their owner’s scent. He didn’t even expect it himself and once straight-up walked right up to him and started sniffing. Imagine the poor guy’s face.

Once after doing laundry, Wireface jokingly put on Coat guy’s jacket. He’s not gonna take his coat back just so Wireface can keep wearing it longer. That way he can wrap himself up in it later and breathe in his scent that’s still on it (and maybe imagine he’s being hugged by him) ❤️

Wireface is always trying to comfort Coat guy, who looks miserable 24/7, even though HE’s the one who actually needs support. So when the usually apathetic Coat guy suddenly puts a hand on his shoulder, Wireface at first pretends everything’s fine… and then just starts bawling.
