okay i know a lot of ppl have different opinions on this i’ve seen a lot of people who feel one way towards an fc but not the same way about a different fc of course most of the time their actions are very different but the rpc still labels the both as problematic.but i’m a firm believer in the “muse=/=fc” and i’m also really against people shaming others for playing said problematic fcs, now there are some fcs that are rightfully claimed as problematic; but as someone who has developed muses with said fcs i find it really discouraging when i get shit for playing said fc, and i get all this anon hate over it when it’s just an fc. yes, i have done my own research, yes i do know what my fc has done and no i am not excusing their actions but if i would like to use an fc, i’m going to. i’m not personally a fan of banned fc lists, i never really make them whether it be for my indie or for rps i create. because i firmly believe that muse=/=fc and that people should be able to portray how they please without being criticized. now, if you’re an admin or running your own indie and choose to have one; by all means go ahead. i have plenty of fcs who irk me when i see them, some do make me slightly uncomfortable but i focus on separating muse from fc really hard. i know some people would rather ban them and avoid the whole ordeal in total and that’s completely understandable. everyone handles and deals with things differently. some person can see a movie and enjoy it 100% but another could say they hate it. thats how things work, and we’ll all continue to do things the way we feel right about it in our heads. so yes, i know theres a billion and one problematic fcs out there, and for every problematic fc theres four just like them who aren’t problematic but please for the love of god let people play who they want, unless the rp or indie has specifically said i’m banning so and so, do not give someone a hard time. let people play their muses how they envision them, problematic or not. the muse is not the fc, it is simply appearance and if you are uncomfortable you by no means have to interact with these muns especially in indie rp, now in twitter rps its a bit more difficult; and i highly recommend speaking to an admin about muting a character or even keeping them blocked if them using a certain fc truly makes you uncomfortable. but there is no excuse to bully and harass someone for wanting to use someone as a face to fit their muse.

i don’t usually do this kind of thing, and i’ve been dead on here for the most part, but my uncle recently got diagnosed with stage two liver cancer and my mom is hysterical. she is struggling to help pay for his treatment because she works an average job and still has to pay for our bills, so if you have any extra change or money, anything will help. i just don’t like seeing my mother like this, so even if you can’t donate, please reblog to spread awareness.
