birthday + zodiac edition!

*ೃ༄note:*ೃ༄ i’m australian, so my seasons are the other way around compared to america. please don’t get confused by any notes of the seasons! remember, these are just headcannons <3

Lloyd - November 22nd, Sagittarius Lloyd is such a spring baby to me. I feel like his elemental power being connected to life just screams spring, but at the same time, he’s a bundle of sunshine, so I think being born near the end of spring is extremely fitting.

Kai - April 23rd, Taurus Even though Kai is the elemental master of fire, I actually think he’d be born in autumn and not summer. He seems so autumn coded, from his colour palette to his demeanour as he gets older. I think April still holds the explosiveness of fire, just toned down a little.

Jay - September 19th, Virgo It tends to be quite lighting and thunder-prone in September, so I just had to our Jay for it. I feel like he just gives such massive September vibes, and he seems like the type of person to be born on the 19th. I think as a kid, he would be sad that his birthday was so common!

Cole - July 6th, Cancer Cole would be SUCH a July baby. Everything about him screams July, and I feel like 6 is so perfect for him. Cole used to think 6 was his lucky number because of his birthday, but it slowly changed to represent the 6 ninja! (Cole, Zane, Jay, Kai, Lloyd, & Nya before the others joined!)

Zane - December 10th, Sagittarius Zane is so December coded. Even if it isn’t necessarily winter, December is overall just associated with ice and the cold due to the majority of the world. He seems like the type to be born on an even numbered day. I think December 10th just suits him so well.

Nya - February 4th, Aquarius Nya would TOTALLY be a February baby. I think she would be quite surprised to be born in summer, especially while being an elemental master of water. I think she would go really deep into astrology, just for fun!

Arin - March 1st, Pisces Arin is so unbelievably March coded. It’s right at the end of summer, which shows his warm and kind personality, but he also seems like the type to be born in autumn. It fits his colour palette and overall demeanour so well, that’s why I think he’d be born right at the start of autumn!

Sora - August 3rd, Leo Sora screams August. I actually don’t know why, but it’s such a gut feeling. I can’t picture Sora being born in any other month. Her being born on the 3rd is also a gut feeling. I think 3 would be her lucky number before changing it because she associated 3 with her family.

Frak - July 10th, Cancer Like Cole, Frak just seems like such a July baby. Maybe it’s something with Earth type elements and July, I don’t know, but they’re so July coded. Frak seems like the type to be born on the 10th, yknow?

Wyldfyre - January 17th, Capricorn January is the peak of summer, and since Wyldfyre’s elemental power is heat, it seems quite fitting. She has quite a fiery personality herself, and just seems like such a January baby. I think her lucky number would be 7, derived from 17 since she likes to live life on the edge. 7 is considered both lucky and unlucky.

Euphrasia - May 8th, Taurus Euphrasia is so unbelievably May. It’s a time where it’s so windy and chilly, but the weather never forgets to let the sunshine alongside it. Euphrasia also seems like the type to be born on an even numbered day, and 8 is the number for spiritual alignment like the Cloud Monks!

in our world, lloyd would be half greek from his dads side & half japanese from his moms side.

although attending a boarding school for the early years of his life, he can speak japanese fluently because he chose it as the language he’d learn. he didn’t even know he was japanese at the time. he continued learning it after he left.

adding to the last point, lloyd barely looks japanese. majority of his physical demeanour comes from his fathers side, even though he believes he doesn’t look greek.

lloyd can’t speak greek at all, but he can read parts of it. understands words here and there. his father was never in his life to teach him, and he overall had no interest in learning the language until his uncle wu started showing him greek literature and mythology.

because of this, lloyd loves & has a heavy tie to the mythology. he finds it quite enticing and loves the rich history behind it. he feels like it’s the only part of his paternal side that he can connect with.

lloyd can speak russian. it’s his 3rd language. before finding out his other half was greek, he heavily believed it was russian.

russian and japanese are two very comfortable languages for him. he’ll find himself using russian words while speaking english or japanese, and vice versa in all circumstances.

lloyd doesn’t like swearing in english or japanese. it feels wrong to him - they both seem like such sweet languages. as soon as he starts speaking russian, that breaks. he starts swearing uncontrollably. he’ll mutter russian swears underneath his breath when mad.

lloyd is very tied to japanese culture. as soon as his mother stepped back into his life, he wanted to know EVERYTHING. he’s gone through multiple rabbit holes of japanese legends and myths. yes, he believes all of them.

sometimes, lloyd wishes he’d look more japanese than greek. no matter how many excuses he makes for his absent father, he doesn’t want to look at himself in the mirror and see his father staring back at him. it breaks a bit of him everyday.
