The power of wanting to write a fic about someone definitely smarter than you is so interesting. This fic has turned me into someone listening to university psych courses on his way to work and sitting in his room, textbook in his lap (completely unrelated to anything I do outside of this), reading over graduate programs and curriculums. I still don't know shit but now I at least know what the things are that I don't know
i’ve done so much research on like. things from theology to medical conditions from what styles and aesthetics were right for the time period and the uses of slang but also like, an insane amount of research on astronomy
and all of this is just WIPs that will never see the light of day but #never stop learning

If you were a lycanthrope of your choosing, who would you be and what would you do?
hmmmmmmmm i don’t know much about werewolves in comparison too my vampire knowledge lol- most of it comes from either research from years and a mix of twilight and teen wolf lore lol
BUT tbh- i’d probably go with the teen wolf werewolf. they’re very pack dynamic and the lore is interesting. plus while the moon DOES affect them- it gets easier over time and you have the ability to shift different parts of yourself with control on a regular basis (like just flashing fangs or eyes or claws etc)
in twilight it’s either full shift or NOTHING- which is why it’s pretty much canon that while they’re considered ‘werewolves’ they’re more closer to shapeshifters. and the pack dynamics in twilight are weird- everyone in the pack has constant access to your thoughts and feelings no matter WHAT they are. and that’s just. uncomfortable for me😭 there’s no way i’d be able to hang out with a ton of frat guys who heard my thoughts about the fanfic i was reading the night before lol AND the imprinting thing is a whole other mess- YES it’s nice that soulmates exist for them in that universe but the actual dynamics of the relationship between the werewolves and who they imprint on are WEIRD
CHARACTER wise ?
i’ve always really loved liam dunbar from teen wolf- i like his storylines and his character! he’s just a cutie and i love him lol. and if i was him id try and get my ships in the teen wolf fandom together #meddling for love
probably also shift and just. EXPERIENCE what it’s like to be a werewolf. run through the woods, hunt, do werewolf-y stuff
lol i gave you way more about the lore for both of them and which universe id rather be in and then only a couple of sentences for the answer to your actual question 😭 my bad
Yeah. I never actually watched twilight beyond being forced to watch the first one but also falling asleep pretty much halfway through. I only know the plot because of media analysis stuff and because I considered watching it for Michael sheen (<3)

i’m a somewhat outdoorsy gal- i like walks and hiking, i love the woods, i love nature and being surrounded by it.
i feel like i would enjoy being a form of werewolf or a type of therianthrope outside of the whole cishet dude energy lol.
i know there stories of a type of lycanthropy except with big cats- instead of the wolf part of werewolf it’s more mountain lion or cougar
i feel like you’d have to be some form of predator- it might not make SENSE but to me if youre a ‘creature of the night’ whether you’re a vampire or werewolf or anything in between- you have to be a predator.
i think i’d enjoy being some kind of lycanthrope or therianthrope- all mythical humanoid creatures fascinate me and i’d take any opportunity at exploring what they’re like!!!!
and i’d just make my identity around being some hippy in the woods the town kids tell myths about as a werewolf rather than a group of frat boys lol

how it feels to understand that if i don’t like something- i don’t have to engage and blocking & ignoring content really is that easy.
because bullying and harassment is abuse and violent- which can harm someone irl. but fictional content is FICTIONAL- with no one getting harmed. so there’s no reason to harass people over fictional content. understanding that liking dark content does not equal your irl morals. just because you don’t like the type of content they create does not give you an excuse to harass them- YOU create your own online experience. block, filter, and tag to what you do and DO NOT want to see and everyone can go about their day.
