Resolving the basic equation of materializing the desires through a limited budget, we started the process of building an architecture office. The exercise starts with the experimental process of use and transformation of available and recovered materials, such as land, recycled glass and formwork wood, configuring them between two existing trees: the sneak, which is outside but framed, and the guavirá that is located in the middle of space to keep us company.

Ancient ruins give us a fascinating window into the past: how people lived, the spaces they inhabited and their daily lives. Historians, architects and travellers alike marvel at these remnants of time past, but it’s often hard to get a sense of what these spectacular buildings would have looked like at their peak. We decided to step back in time and recreate some of our favorite ancient ruins in their original locations.

1. They’re Deep Thinkers

Introverts are notoriously ‘in their own head’ much of the time.  For most introverts, it’s a safe place to be.  Inside their heads, they engage in deep conversations, ruminate about life, the universe, and everything, and take the time to really reflect on all that’s going on in the world around them.  When an introvert speaks, it’s almost guaranteed that they have spent many hours thinking about the subject, forming their opinions, and carefully choosing the words they wish to use.

2. They Have More Intimate Connections

It takes something special for an introvert to bring you into their world.  When they do, you can bet that they believe you’re someone special.  By bringing down barriers, an introvert is letting you know they’re interested in connecting with you beyond a superficial level.  They’re displaying a level of intimacy and vulnerability that not many people get to see.

Tiny House by Walden Studio

A contemporary tiny house designed by Netherlands-based Walden Studio that has clean lines and a spacious feel to it. The 17 square meter house on a trailer was built for tiny house enthusiast Marjolein Jonker. You enter through large front doors and are greeted by an open interior due to the amount of daylight allowed by four roof lights that enters the house. The house has a generous kitchen with an oven, sink, countertop and storage areas. The bathroom consists of a half-sized bath and shower as well as a composting toilet to reduce water usage. In the middle of the room, a small wood stove can heat the entire home and the house will also harvest its own rainwater using a natural wastewater treatment system. Living off-the-grid is achieved with three big solar panels placed on the roof that produces the required electricity. The living room area has an L-shaped corner couch which transforms into a dining table that seats four. Stairs leading up to the bedroom functions as a closet and also offers space for a refrigerator.
