But consider this: identifying as non binary mean that that person is non binary, regardless of their genitalia assigned at birth. There no such thing as “non binary women”

I think she meant that if someone identifies as non-binary, you refer to them as non-binary and use they/them pronouns rather than calling them a woman and using she/her pronouns, if that makes sense.

Wtf I’m transgender myself, nonbinary at that. I know what I’m talking about, you can still call yourself a girl or refer yourself as a girl even if you’re nonbinary. You really have no clue what you’re talking about, stop speaking over trans people.

I’m sorry for offending anyone, that was not my intention. But I am confused as to what you all mean since I appear to be wrong. If pronouns don’t determine your gender, then why are there even different ones when one would already suffice for everyone regardless the gender? And why would using the wrong pronouns be such a problem? I’m not telling you what your identity is, but simply going by what I have learnt that the definition of the gender variations are. If you can correct me where I went wrong and kindly explain I’d be very grateful.

But if a name equals a pronoun, then it is important, right? Because just like you said, you want to be respected and called by your preferred name. You do however also state that gender identity does not follow the rules of terminology, making pronouns/names and identity unrelated? Could you please elaborate? I’m confused :/

I am very sorry in case you feel disrespected by my curiosity which is also why I will let it end here and thank you for your patience. And to answer your question, no, I don’t ask gay people why they’re gay, just as little as I asked you why you are trans. I merely asked you what the definition of being non binary trans is since I must’ve gotten it wrong somewhere along the way. I do not need to ask gay people this since being gay has a clear definition which gay people have kindly explained to me. One last thing you might however want to keep in mind is that understanding greatly aids people’s ability to respect what’s new to them. Also, ignorance is one of the main causes of transphobia, people are afraid of the unknown and thus battle it. Not informing people is not really improving your situation, even so I do wish you the best of luck.

This whole argument aside, what is the definition of non binary? Because I thought it was like lackyblacky said, and I got confused by afrosupremacy’s explanation. I mean, of course anyone is free to identify as whatever they want, and that’s cool. But don’t labels have “fixed definitions” for the sake of making communication easier?

Skyrim’s Dawnguard expansion is really awkward for me because essentially you get to choose between two groups I don’t agree with at all? You have the Dawnguard who essentially want to have a genocide of all vampires. Which at the surface it’s like, okay yeah, most vampires in the game are shitty asswipes who attack people and keep them hostage and use as slaves or thralls or as cattle?? But it ignores the fact there can be good vampires (Or at least not asswipes) Like Serana, Sybille, and Valerica?? Like, I feel vampires have the potential to not be shit? Okay like, they need to drink blood. A few solutions, they drink animal blood, or they drink the blood of people like bandits or convicted murderers? Like it’s heavily implied that Sybille in Solitude drinks the blood of some of the people in Solitude’s prison if you get on her bad side?? I feel Dawnguard could have touched more on how vampires don’t have to be fucking shit and can actually be decent people??? I don’t like the Valkihar vampires either cause they messy, pretty fucking prejudiced or whatever the vampire version of vampire racist is, and just, really nasty? Like, you guys worship Molag Bal who’s a fucking rapist??? You even give/gave your females to Molag Bal to have sex with so they could be turned into Daughter of Coldharbor, which essentially could kill them, while the males just have to like, kill a lot of shit to become a pure vampire??? And my god the amount of bones in the castle is crazy. Like what the flying fuck seriously Valkihar vampires?? Your castle is a horrible nasty mess, everything is in ruins, and you’re all shitty as fuck??? Like my god come on. Plus you have to turn the Moth Priest into your Thrall, which I heavily do not like the idea of, there are human cattle that just, have to suffer their entire lives, thralls can never/rarely ever be released from control, and even if you side with the Valkihar they still remain shitty and you can’t really change their ways. I want to hear about vampires that live in the shadows or among mortals and don’t care about power? They feed off animals or they deal with bandits that terrorize the roads? Like, imagine vampires that stealthily take out bandits that keep attacking and ransacking travelers and caravans? Like, they use it as a hunting trip to gather blood or whatever and return home after the fact?

This is not a post that I can just scroll by.
