Rubbing the back of his head, JJ groaned quietly as his fingers found the growing bump. He had greatly miscalculated a jump and his head had taken the hit for him. He was fairly certain he didn’t have a concussion but that didn’t seem to affect the pain pulsing throughout his head. Coffee would surely solve all his problems and pushing into the cafe, he slung his duffel bag into an empty seat before moving to stare at the menu. 

The low, familiar voice caught his attention and he turned to face the speaker. “Me? Quiet? I assure you, I have no idea what you’re talking about!” Giving the Korean skater a thumbs up, JJ grinned weakly, and pushed his throbbing headache aside for the moment. “I’m simply concentrating on choosing the coffee most suited for royalty! After all, only the best will suffice and since this town doesn’t seem to have any Tim Hortons, I am forced to go here.” A dramatic hand fluttered up to his forehead, pretending to swoon over the tragedy of the situation.  

At the sudden display, the Korean could only roll his eyes. Possibly the only thing that could give him away, his annoyance that was. Expression still remaining completely void of any emotion, as he listened to the man before him. Honestly, before having come across the Canadian, he never would have assumed someone could be this big headed or full of oneself. As they say, though, there is a first time for everything.  

“I bet you don’t. The idea would be almost unknown to you. After all, you have to draw attention to yourself, for people to want to take notice of you,” he replies evenly, bringing the brim of his cup up to his lips, and taking a light sip. Gaze averting back to the book in his hand for the moment. “I have no idea what a “Tim Hortons” is, but if you frequent there, must not be that good.”

He was thankful for times such as these, ones where he could be completely by himself. Not having to worry about school work, or practices; just time where he could spend with himself, nursing a nice cup of coffee, and a good book. The cafe he had found in the center of town probably wasn’t the best place to do this, but no one had bothered him yet, so he didn’t feel the need to change it. Of course all good things must come to an end...

The Canadian didn’t even have to walk into the establishment, before he felt his brow slightly twitch.  Dark hues casting a sparing glance at the opening door, and Seung Gil ends up muttering something beneath his breath. Perhaps if he turned to look away, the other skater wouldn’t take notice of him. However, even he knew the chances of that were slim...so he did what he had to, barely even processing what he had said, before the words escaped him. 

Yuri Plisetsky, was certainly someone that the Korean had not wished to run into again. As a matter of fact, there seemed to be quite a few familiar faces, that he did not wish to see again. Even not being able to visually see the young man from where he was, stationed behind rack of accessories; he’d recognize that pitched, anger infused voice anywhere. Not to mention the string of Russian that seemed to follow after.  Perhaps he had picked the wrong shop to buy a new phone charger.
