Sometimes it really breaks my heart when I realize that men don’t find me attractive until they get to know my personality..

I keep coming back to this thought because this is always how it goes. I’ve never been the girl who turns heads. I hang out with guys a lot, and I hear the way they talk about beautiful women who walk by. I see the look on their faces when they notice someone. And every time, I wonder what it must feel like to be looked at that way. Because I have to be brave enough to talk first. They have to get to know me. They have to hear my jokes, my personality, my heart. Only then do they start to find me attractive. And yeah, that’s fine. But sometimes it breaks my heart knowing I’ll probably never be the girl someone looks at and instantly wants. Sometimes I just wish, before I ever opened my mouth, someone would look at me the way I’ve watched so many men look at other women.
