I Beg to Fail
2/19/2019
I commit the crimes that cause me to lose every time I beg to be invited, but fail to be enticed
My routine conversations ache for excitement I hide in my mind with fake enchantment My heart beats slow and steady, ready In anticipation of levitation Too bad it’s a lost cause invitation
Don’t mind me Watering and catering to my home grown garden of insecurity Lyrically, it’s beautifully portrayed Realistically, it’s an ugly reality
My routine conversations ache for excitement I hide in my mind with fake enchantment My heart beats slow and steady, ready In anticipation of levitation Too bad it’s a lost cause invitation
I’ll cry out, dry out my eyes And be sure to use those tears to grow my fears I’ll be sure to waste away my coming years I’ll be sure to shy away from possible cures I’ll be answering your concerns with “I am fine” While blocking out anything that shines
My routine conversations ache for excitement I hide in my mind with fake enchantment My heart beats slow and steady, ready In anticipation of levitation Too bad it’s a lost cause invitation
I commit the crimes that cause me to lose every time I beg to be invited, but fail to be enticed
