“Wanna give me a hand?” Leia says as yet another book from her hands falls to the ground, “Please? You’re literally my only hope of surviving today.”

“Oh yeah, of course!”  Ariel bent down and picked up the book, and then reached for a few that the girl as still holding.  “Here, let me take some of those off your hands.”

“I mean, it’s not necessarily...  I was just asking if you could get me a towel.”  Ariel raised an eyebrow, motioning to the sea green tail that now replaced her legs.  She hadn’t planned on it happening, but getting splashed with water in a public restroom wasn’t unusual.  “Obviously I can’t really get it myself.”

Ariel had, luckily, made sure she was always prepared for an out of the blue fall of rain, or in this case, snow, so she stood bundled from head to toe in various things from scarves to jackets to hats. The last thing she needed was to grow a tail just before her bus arrived.  She found herself standing at the stop beside someone she didn’t know too well, but when they offered her scarf she just shook her head.  “Oh gosh, no.  I’m fine, but thank you!”
