ariel-hale:

“That doesn’t exactly make it obvious. And the world at large still doesn’t know about this. Any, of this. It’s just all, myth and legends,” he said. Some of these people were so careless. Of course this place was dangerous, that didn’t mean they should add to it by going around and letting just anyone know what they were. Talia had mentioned once that he smelled like something other than human, so maybe that was it. But it still surprised him. “I suppose what’s done is done. Luckily I already know some of this nonsense. And thank you, again, for bringing back my charm. I’m Alistair, by the way.”

“Myths and Legends that also happen to be very real, especially in this town, it’s quite a surprise that people still want to be in denial when they see the things that happen here, but I can’t say that I really blame them.” She muses and shakes her head. “Either way, you don’t smell human, that’s why I mainly told you, if you were human, I would have to really know you first before outright saying what this place is like and what runs around this place.” Ariel shrugs and smiles. “It’s not a problem, mind me asking why you have one? Oh, I know, you said your name the last time we spoke.”

ariel-hale:

“I’m glad you’re happy.” Lydia could tell that Kai made Ariel the happiest girl, and that was more than enough for Lydia. Even though she’d had her differences and doubts with Kai in the past, as long as he treated Ariel right then nothing else mattered to Lydia. “There’s no date for the wedding yet, right?”

“Truly, thank you so, so much.” She states and beams over at Lydia, shoulders relaxing. “I mean, I’m almost always happy, but Kai makes me feel an even different kind of happy? A better one, I don’t know if that really makes sense or not, but I love him.” Ariel explains and bites her lip. “Not yet, but we’re getting closer to figuring one out.

ariel-hale:

“I can talk to him. Try to persuade him. If that doesn’t work, I’m sure you probably can convince him.” She assured the older girl. Allison knew full well that her brother wasn’t the easiest to persuade.

ariel-hale:

“It’s not a monopoly”, he laughs, “the joy of beacon hills I guess”. Rubbing the back of his neck, thinking of how to explain it. Instead he goes with just blurting it out, his specialty, “he was a monster”.

ariel-hale:

Allison listened to her intently and grinned softly at the story. “That’s so romantic! It’s ironic you guys were talking about movies because that proposal sounds like something out of one.” She giggled and bit her lip. “You know, sometimes I forget he’s not a hunter like me. Hearing he got hurt makes me wonder if I should put him through a crash course or something.”

With her tongue stuck between her teeth as she grins, Ariel nods enthusiastically. “Isn’t it just? I honestly was not expecting it, but I loved it so much! That is rather ironic, I have a feeling he may have taken the idea.” She jokes and nods her head slowly. “You know, I would appreciate it if he got a crash course in that, I don’t know how he’ll feel about it though.”

ariel-hale:

“It’s likely a Hale thing, my mother fully shifted..Peter could..though it wasn’t..quite as regal..”.

ariel-hale:

“I get to know you both which is cool.” She smiled at her. “So how did my brother propose?”

“Aww!” She beams and blushes as she thinks back to when he proposed. “Oh gosh, we were talking about Romantic Comedy movies, ones where the couple got married at the end, and I didn’t think anything of it until he pulled the ring box from his pocket, he had been severely injured due to some..hunters.” Ariel makes a face, but shakes her head. “So, he couldn’t get down on one knee, but I do recall him saying that he didn’t want to spend another minute of this short life if he can’t be by my side.” Ariel muses, biting down on her lip. “It was short and simple, yet it meant the world, he means everything to me.”

ariel-hale:

“Of course I do.” Lydia replied back with a nod and a bright smile. “And I never give compliments unless I fully believe they’re true.” The banshee had never been the type of person to give out praise left and right. She was good at talking to people and encouraging them, but when it came to complimenting outfits and looks, Lydia kept that to herself most of the time. She wouldn’t say it unless she meant it. “I’ve never been married before, so I don’t know for sure but I imagine nerves happen to most people. It’s the most important day of your life. That’s definitely a bit terrifying.”

“Really? That’s interesting, I mean, I guess I can understand why you would say them when they are true, obviously, but not until you fully believe it? That just makes the compliments from you more special then!” Ariel states and laughs at her next words with a small shrug. “Well, yes, it is quite the common emotion before getting married and all, but thankfully, my nerves are overruled by my happiness!”

ariel-hale:

“Sorry, my bad.” She laughed a bit more. “If I remember correctly, the pack didn’t meet her until after I was gone.”

“You’re fine.” She reassures and tilts her head to the side. “Oh? Well, I’m glad that you guys now have a chance to finally meet and talk.”

ariel-hale:

“I don’t, it would bring unwanted attention, and not everyone is meant to be a wolf.  I’m not sure it’s something a bitten wolf could handle”.

ariel-hale:

“Is it common practice to reveal your secret to strangers?” He asked, incredulous. Several others in town had done much the same, acting like it wasn’t a big deal at all. Alistair couldn’t fathom such an attitude. Americans alone already shun and rage against people who are different in normal ways that didn’t actually actively threaten their well-being. Throw in werewolves and witches, and suddenly the danger became so much more. “I’m sorry, I don’t mean to seem ungrateful. It just seems really dangerous to take that sort of risk.”

Making a face at him, her eyebrows raised as she crossed her arms over her chest. “I mean, this is Beacon Hills, it’s a literal Beacon for Supernaturals, though I was already born here..” Ariel mumbles and waves a hand. “Maybe dangerous, but this whole town is already a danger zone, we tend to look past the fact that not everyone knows, or at least I do? I’ve been told that I can be blunt, oops.”

ariel-hale:

“Damn, Peter got around.” She laughed and nodded her head. “Yeah, I know Malia. We’re in the same pack. We’re still getting to know each other.”

“Okay, ew, please don’t say that.” She shudders and shakes her head, before looking back up. “I’m glad to hear that!”

ariel-hale:

“Malia right? I guess it makes sense that you’re half sisters since she’s a werecoyote and you’re, well, not.” Allison smiled at her. “Are you guys close now?”

“Yes, Malia Tate.” She confirms and laughs at Allison’s words. “Exactly, our moms are different, but we share the same, terrible dad. We are close yeah, much closer than before, I used to hang out with Malia when we were younger, but there weren’t a lot of visits.”

ariel-hale:

“Well..there aren’t..well not real wolves anyway.  Though if more people start fully shifting, people will likely assume that’s changed”.

ariel-hale:

Something almost like disappointed panged inside his heart when the wolf trotted away. But he knew it was for the better and honestly he felt a thousand times better not having a wild predator sitting next to him. He took that moment to move his hand from the cut on his leg, sighing softly as he made to stand and pausing when a blonde girl came out of nowhere. “Huh?” he stared up at her, bewildered. “Hey, I know you. The snowball fight girl from outside my shop…” he said after a moment before everything else she said registered, “Shifted? You- Oh. You’re a werewolf. Of course you are.” Alistair groaned, rubbing his brow. His usual fear was starting to mold into irritation and if it weren’t for Stiles repeatedly attesting that he was, in fact, human he would wager that everyone in this town was a ‘something’. But, to be honest, he wouldn’t put out the fact that Stiles was a critter too.

Looking back up as she adjusted her glasses slightly, nodding her head at the mention of the snowball fight. “That would be me, yeah.” She smiles, but it quickly turns into a frown when he groans, she can smell the chemo-signals off of him and they weren’t exactly good ones. “The majority of Beacon Hills is something supernatural related, after a while, you just kind of get used to it I guess?” She shrugs and fiddles with her ring anxiously before sticking out her hand. “Ariel Hale at your service! When I’m not running around as a wolf, I’m either planning my wedding, or working at the lab, I’m a Bio-Engineer.”
