i’d have you anytime;;
a guilty smiles coats the man’s face, though his cheeks try to hold it back, causing his teeth to just poke out. still, even his eyes show a bit of glint in them, a pleading look; almost saying please don’t yell at me.
“ … okay, maybe i had a bit of cookie dough. maybe. only enough for, hm, three cookies though, i swear. ”
his hands comes up defensively. maybe it was actually liv’s fault – she shouldn’t have let him help when she well knows he’s a cookie dough addict.
with an amused snort, liv pushes the bowl into the sink and abandons it in favor of advancing towards the taller.
“ three ? i think maybe eight. or nine. “
amused, the woman gives george’s stomach a few firm prod, both pointing out the stolen goods and trying to get him just as tickled as her about the situation.
“ that’s the last time i’ll be asking you for help with the baking, sir. “
i’d have you anytime;;
“ you know, honey, when i made this cookie dough, the recipe said it was suppose to make three dozen. “
olivia peers down into the empty orange mixing bowl minutely before slowing turning to face her husband, a curious expression laid out upon her features.
“ and i was able to get. . . . eighteen cookies out of it. i wonder what happened to the rest ? “
too bad dhani is off at nursery school; george has lost his best scapegoat.
george rubbed his tired eyes. if there was ever a time where he looked green, today was it. and , as it prohibited him from getting even the slightest bit of sleep last night, exhaustion ran through his veins.
“ if - if you don’t mind… ”
his arm fell, defeated. he would go back to bed, but he didn’t want to sleep at a time like this. his wife seemed busy, and he wanted to help.
with the sleeping baby tucked tightly against her chest in a sling, liv brushes past george a bit to grab the kettle’s handle.
“ why don’t you just go sit down in your chair and i’ll do all this. “
of course, ‘all this’ is just making a simple cup of tea. simple for a well and able person, that is. which her husband surely was not, at this moment.
“ and then i’ll make you something to eat.”
We can’t talk about marriage yet because I’m still married to Patti [sic] and I don’t know what will happen about divorce, as neither of us has filed for one. But Olivia is my woman. Everyone knows I only want to be with her.

I remember George [Harrison] couldn’t stop talking about her [Olivia Trinidad Arias] after he met her.
Al Aronowitz, The Blacklisted Journalist, Column Sixty-Two, 1 August 2001 (via thateventuality)
A smile covered George’s face, his eyes sparkling as his attention quickly turned from his guitar below to his lover. The little caress was random, but not odd for the girl.
“ Yes, darling ? "
In fact, he hadn’t really noticed that she was beside him at all.
“ i just wanted to see what you were doing. “
liv grins, persistant fingers stroking the scruff of her husband’s cheek. pulling him back to reality from that far-off place that only music can take you to.
“ you have a very unhappy-looking resting face. “

George and Olivia, screen cap from Living in the Material World. 40 years ago today, on 23 October 1974, George Harrison held a press conference at the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel, confirming his upcoming North American tour… and it was sometime in October 1974 that George and Olivia Trinidad Arias met in person for the first time.
“Olivia came into the picture at just the right time, a crazy, dark time. She is a strong person, and when he fell for her we all agreed that was a good thing. It wasn’t good for him to be on his own, and without her things would have got worse.” - Jim Keltner, Mojo, November 2014
Q: “Was it love at first sight?” Olivia: “Pretty much. We felt it in our hearts from before we met. Even on the phone, we seemed to have some understanding, like you do when you meet the right person. And he was a charmer, such a charmer!” - The Sun, 2009

“I fell for her immediately. She is a very calming influence. She has been very supportive and we are blissfully happy together. I told her I didn’t want her doing all that typing. We started going with each other, and four years later we married.” - George Harrison, The Mirror, 1 December 2001

“The lyrics to I Me Mine were known to me long before the October evening in 1974 when I met the man who wrote them. George and I had spoken by telephone many times because I worked for his Dark Horse record label in Los Angeles. Still that first face-to-face meeting, followed by twenty-seven years together, is just as vivid today as the last time I saw his face.” - Olivia Harrison in her introduction to the 2002 edition of I Me Mine

Q: ‘Did the creative spark remain right up to the end of his life?’ Olivia Harrison: ‘It truly did. In fact, I don’t like to think about what he would have written. [In his final days] I gave him a cassette player. 'He wanted one that had the two buttons, record and play, didn’t want a digital. I found it later and it had a cassette in it with a beginning of a song, a really beautiful, acoustic song.’ Q: 'Was that the last thing he did?’ OH: 'Yes, I think so. He just said “test, test, test” and then did this little thing. He never really stopped. There were lots of unfinished tunes. 'In fact, there were many cassettes around the house. He’d throw them in a drawer and forget them. 'If he ever put a cassette on again, he’d say, “Oh yeah, I remember that tune.”’
