After her bouts with Talarist, Princess Elodie had come to learn it was important for her to foster new relationships with neighboring kingdoms.
It was her first time out of Nova since she had becoming the Crown Princess, and this attempt in Melodia was her first serious attempt to foster foreign relationships. We’ve always been civil with them, but never had real relationships, she thought. This could be my big chance to prove to everyone what I’m capable of!
Test: Foreign Affairs > Success
It was interesting, speaking to other nobility so freely like this! She wanted to make a good impression for the sake of her nation. And it was going great, fantastic, even! Except she was so distracted by the music, well…
She barely looked where she was going, or who she bumped into. “Oof-!”
Test: Composure > Failed Test: Elegance > Failed
“O-ow… I’m sorry! I-I-I totally wasn’t looking where I was going!” She exclaimed, bolting up to observe who she had bumped into… onother than the other Princess.
“O-Oh no…”
WANDERING around her own kingdom was more of a luxury for her now. Ever since the not-so-recent event that occurred, and left quite the distinguishable feature on most of her right side, everyone was on edge with anyone who even stepped foot onto their land. Of course, it had calmed down significantly, but even Ariana couldn’t intervene with the select few citizens that had their doubts.
And about their neighbouring kingdom’s princess, no doubt! Somedays, she thought that the slumber they had been placed under did a lot more than give them enough sleep for weeks...
Perhaps they also should’ve taken into consideration how the different melodies and tempos the kingdom gave off could be... distracting to others. Even she found herself humming to herself, parasol in hand to somewhat cover her face, when she suddenly felt someone collide against her. A bit rude perhaps, but a small giggle got out of the princess at the other’s realisation at who she had the unfortunate experience of walking into.
“ No need to apologise, if anything, I wasn’t paying attention either! Odd how I wasn’t though, you are quite recognisable here. “ Closing her parasol up and putting it on her wrist for the time being, she looked a bit concerned. “ You are alright though, right? I’d have worn a softer dress today if I foresaw this happening...! “
Tempted to say something about how her own face wasn’t something any would want to collide against, but decided against it. It’d sound weird in this context; any for that matter.
