My Alien Little World

I dissociate....a lot. To the point where I can't be bothered with conversations that bore me. It's getting that way with my significant other. If he goes on a rant, and I try to interject with my thoughts he just yells at me to wait til he's finished whichi Ive counted the minutes to let him 'finish" and it's 5 mins or more, sometimes 10 and by then my thoughts are gone on what I was going to say and I've completely lost interest by the time he's done talking. I'm now just saying, "mhm. Sure." Nodding, like quite literally trying to signal to him that I'm done listening to whatever he's saying so I can give my feedback. These conversations are getting old. He thinks he's right all the time and why opinion I gave he just tells me that "I love you honey but you're just saying this cause you're sick. I'll just chalk it up to your illness" or "You're acting retarded. I can't listen to you your voice is grating to me. And I don't want to be around you." Like what? Excuse me??? He's now said this twice. He says I don't listen but trust me. I listen to a lot more than he thinks I do and its all the negative aspects. Not good. If he says this one more time that my voice is "grating" I'm going to say "you know, you've said this 3 times now and in baseball three strikes you're out. If you think it's so grating, find another. I'm sorry you can't respect and value another opinion. Must be so cool to be so intolerant." 😂
