I haven’t had the energy to draw but here’s a sketch I did this morning that I wasn’t going to post bc I didn’t like it and then I decided to say fuck it I’ll post anyway

you have like soulmate tattoos but theyre not always matching so its really hard to tell who your soulmate is and the only way to definitively tell is by feeling a *spark* when you touch for the first time.. plus half the time the mark is more or less hidden so its not an on sight kind of thing

it takes misato and futaba  f o r e v e r  to actually discover that theyre soulmates, like they’ve known each other for at least 3 months before it happens

one day they both got up early to go practice and for some reason they shook hands or something really simple and ordinary like that and suddenly there’s a *spark* and they’re like wtf YOU

and so they decide to just talk about it after practice and practice that day is sO awkward but they get through it and then they go find some place to hide out on school grounds and talk about it and one of the first things to come up is what the mark is

misato has a leaf

futaba has the letter A

at first theyre confused because like wtf but then they RealizeTM

they match the dumb nicknames that Onagawa keeps giving them that they both absolutely hate

Misato just gives Futaba a grave look and goes

“We can never tell him.”

Futaba immediately agrees
