     dae jung quickly runs out of the building, only looking back for a moment to snap one final photograph, before he ducks thankfully under the police line, do not cross tape, && looks towards the stranger.

     “  YOU KNOW, i didn’t get your name back there.  what should i call you? ”

     small talk, because the monster is calmer now; dae jung is in a wide open space, can get attention, can RUN AWAY, if need be.  dae jung isn’t sure he likes the idea of the monster looking out for him.  but hey–if it gets results every now && again, it may not necessarily be a bad thing.

       ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* "Cassi." The name slips from her painted lips as though it has a million times - though with how old she was, it probably did - but something about it always seemed insincere. As though her name was a mere mask she wore, the true woman she was beneath the exterior, buried to prevent horrid memories from surfacing when she had no want for them.

       "So this kid.. what do you know about them? Tell me that and I'll tell you what I know about the cult." *:･ﾟ✧

                    it was strange …  or perhaps melancholic how gunho  had to learn  to see through the bullshit of others  after becoming an  on the rise  musician.  catch  the frauds ,  keep away  the deceivers , watch out for the  seekers of money and fame –– while very helpful  it  wasn’t the best way  to live.  so as she spoke ,  caught  in the ACT basically  ,  he said  nothing for a small moment.  the boy continuing  to strum  the freezing strings  of the guitar ,  the chords  almost sounding like  cracking ice before he finally spoke.  ‘ sounds to me like your just running away, ’  he BREATHED out  in exhaustion rather than frustration.  somehow , and without knowing why , he wasn’t  exactly  surprised  that she was trying to leave.  although  maybe  it was something gunho should’ve known as soon  as they fell into bed.  he had always been warned  to keep your  real friends close , but that  probably wasn’t reserved for  fucking them. 

       ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* Breath hitches in the back of a parched throat && a large gulp overcomes her as she searches for some others excuse. A man she had no intention of staying beside for a long time spoke too frankly && her weak heart felt like splitting. What do I tell him when he will see through everything I say? Years spent running, hiding && lying did  N O T  groom her well enough to battle a man with such an intellect - with experience looking through the falsities offered by those who knew no better. Perhaps it would be simpler for her to run, her fingers moving quickly to button her pants, but her tawny eyes raise to look at him. Peaceful. He looks so peaceful laying in his bed, rays of sun dancing across his honey-colored skin. How could she resist such temptations when he was the picture of perfection?

       "Gunho..." His name slips from her lips like a silent prayer - hopeful yet quiet, for she is afraid if she says it too loud, he will evaporate into thin air. "There are things you don't know about me, things that I don't think you'll like. If I stay, I risk telling you about them and then..." A sigh, large && filled with despair, her body falling onto a nearby surface, for she cannot stand. "... then I would have to leave forever."  *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

"Please, you've got to help me! I think he/she's dead!"

"It hurts..."

"No, don't touch me!"

"You're a monster!"

"I'm the monster? What about you?"

"They're coming after me."

"I never wanted you to get hurt."

"I trusted you."

"Please don't do this. Please."

"I don't believe you."

"Why can't you just believe me?!"

"I never loved you."

"Let me go!"

"If you scream, it'll be worse."

"If only someone loved you..."

"I'm not sorry."

"They want to hurt me!"

"Don't try to fix me."

"I don't feel anything."

"Are you threatening me?"

"I hate you."

"Did you honestly think I ever cared?"

"This is wrong."

"You're dying."

"I'm dying."

"It was all an act."

     dae jung shudders a bit, looking around in feigned fear.  anything to make it seem like he didn’t know what exactly that was.  “ then maybe we should leave the area.  continue this conversation over mcdonald’s coffee, or something. ”  he suggests, anxiety coming through his voice.

     he bites on his lower lip for a few moments, before he hears the growling from his monster again–&& feels as if it’ll attack if he’s not allowed to get going, && soon.

     “ apparently the cult had a child.  the kid was the only one to escape the carnage.  i wanted to know WHY. ”

       ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* His suggestion is met with a prompt nod, eyes removing themselves from their surroundings && returning to his visage, studying it as always as he speaks. He is acting somewhat bizarre when the noise strikes again. She suddenly feels too threatened to wait for him && finds herself on the other side of the room, standing near the exit. "Well, are you coming or not?" Perhaps it was too much to already reveal her abilities, but she thought there could be little harm in it since he seemed to be in a similar boat as her. "WE can talk about the kid when we're out of here, something's not right." She was far too old for this kind of thing.

       Once outside, she stood near the darker areas, twisting the ring on her finger to ensure it was tight - if it fell off the sun would kill her. She began tapping her foot on the pavement. "Hey, hurry up in there." She shouts towards the opening of the door, slightly concerned that if she looked inside she might find a mess of a body left behind by whatever god awful creature was making those noises. *:･ﾟ✧*:･

     maybe he said too much.  but dae jung doesn’t have time to think about it.  instead, he answers the question brought in front of him;  “ NOTHING.  never got a chance to meet them.  i’m looking for the kid, but i don’t think they’ll have any answers for me. ”

     the monster makes a growling sound, && dae jung isn’t sure if the stranger can hear it.  he hopes not.  that’d be another thing to explain, && HE DOESN’T WANT TO EXPLAIN THINGS HE BARELY UNDERSTANDS.

       ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* There it was, the truth she was searching for - even if she still believed he was hiding something that she might need to know. Nevertheless, she learned more than she knew when she first arrived. "The kid? What kid?" The question is yet another one that may not get her an answer. But she has faith that her methods of intimidation will work, as they typically did. It was not a skill she preferred to utilize often, but one that came in handy when people refused to provide the information she sought. Besides, if she didn't hurt him, she didn't see the harm in anything she was doing. He seemed like a nice guy && she never hurt those that were innocent - not on purpose at least.

       Then something happens that catches her off guard, a sound she has never heard before. It's small but prominent, a low growl of some kind that she has never know && it causes her to turn her head to check behind her. "Did you hear that?" She poses, head snapping back to look at the other. "I'm not sure we're alone in here." As these words leave her lips, she finds herself preparing for any sort of battle, her hues scanning the darkness for any sign of a threat. *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧

     he can practically sense that there’s something off about this woman–maybe she’s like him, maybe she has a monster inside too–&& IT SETS DAE JUNG’S BLOOD ON FIRE.  whatever is going on, this isn’t good.  part of him wants to stay, interrogate her on what she is, but he has no bargaining chips, no way to fight, besides an internal literal monster that he cannot control.

     dae jung only hopes that, if needed, the monster will prevent him from dying a second time.

     he steps a few steps back then, looking for an exit from this situation, before he asks,  “ WHAT WERE YOU AFTER?  the cult, or the building itself? ”  anything to distract while he looks for a way out of this terrible situation.

       ✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* Panic etches its way across her new companion's face && she knows he is not a huge threat to her. Every step closer aids her in hearing the heart beating in his chest && it is beating quick enough to escape. Slight guilt washes over her when his words hit her ears - maybe he was searching for the same answers she had come for. But she cannot lighten her aura too much for fear he will sense her inner weakness. Instead, she stops, her feet planting themselves on the ground. Some distance may reward her some answers.

       "Ah, so you knew about the cult then?" She states, lips pressing into a thin line as sharp teeth bite at her bottom lip. "I think we both know the answer to your question... what did they promise you?" The inquiry she poses is far more personal than a stranger would likely appreciate, yet she cannot stop herself from asking it. *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧
