officer-kowalski:
Tomasz didnât necessarily like drinking, but it was one of the only things that made his guilt fade into the background when it became too much to handle. He didnât drink often, but when he did, he tended to go overboard, and tonight was no different. He wasnât drunk yet, but he fully had the intentions of getting so, even though he knew it wasnât a âhealthy coping mechanism.â He was barely on his second whiskey (on the rocks, of course!) when a scrap broke out between two actually drunk men. Sighing, Tomasz got up, rolled up his sleeves, and prepared to interveneâŚ
âŚonly to find himself standing outside ten minutes later, holding a bag of ice to his nose. He looked at a person about to enter, nodding his head at them.
âIâd give it five minutes. Things are still pretty crazy in there,â he warned.
The only reason Arden was out of the house tonight was the fact that one of her coworkers from the coffee house had invited her out for drinks that night, only to bail on the last moment. It wasnât ideal, but she was already out so it would be a waste to not go to the bar and at least get one drink. She deserved to get loose and have a nice time, even if she had to do it alone - at least she had some time to swipe through her Tinder. Approaching the bar, Arden felt nervous - the man standing outside with the ice pack didnât give her a good feeling about what was going on inside, and she felt kind of sorry that the man had gotten caught up in whatever was happening. âThings look pretty crazy,â She laughed a bit, albeit forced because she was nervous about what happened. âAre you okay?â
