I had a crazy, stressful dream last night where I had this random meeting in another city scheduled for today at 2pm that was basically an interrogation on shit that happened 6 years ago that I was like…. A side side character to and, frankly, only affected me so much because ✨ anxiety ✨ …. And I just woke up so relieved that that’s fiction. Pure fiction my subconscious brain concocted to torture myself.

#I suppose the reason for a dream like that is my deep seated fear that my past mainly the actions/ideologies/words of people from my past #make me worse of a person #which is silly in many cases because like #people are going to be people regardless of what I do and I have no say in their own decisions #but that lingering feeling makes it actively difficult at times for me to maneuver in certain social or cultural contexts #because there is anxiety of being pushed aside for not being idk pure enough or being assumed to be a bad person #and I’ve had people turn on me in the past for reasons completely unknown to me and unexplained and have suspected that certain parts of #my background might have caused people to view me as unsafe #so I just assume that…. again #it’s the part of me that apologizes for stupid things and then gets bewildered looks from others who are like um why would you apologize #like it’s never occurred to them that someone could get upset at someone for that #which idk maybe these people are just all better adjusted than I am lol #lol #personal #there’s a specific reason for this stress dream being today too #as it’s the birthday of someone who was at the center of it and I was formerly very close to #or we’re coming up on the 3 year anniversary of something else in my life that could be related #but that wasn’t what the dream was about

I respect the hell out of farmers and I'm glad that's someone's dream. because it's sure not mine

I would not be taken in by the tradwife influencer grift about milking a cow in a sundress. I have been around cows. my uncle was a dairy farmer. I love not milking a cow. I love getting milk from a store. I love getting vegetables and fruit and meat and bread from a store.

would I rather it be a local farm's store or a local bakery or butcher shop? yes! maybe when I make more money!

#there’s nothing wrong with farming obviously #but when you realize how rough those lives actually were historically #I mean not like things were sunshine and roses for my ancestors when they wet to work in factories instead #but they must have made those choices for a reason #because being a farmer with a bunch of kids and not a lot of money was difficult #also see things like the dust bowl #it could go south and you’d be struggling very easily #the whole trad wife fantasy is so alarming to me because it willfully ignores that historically someone in that position had a tough life

#some weirdly defined east coast US accent #idk actually how to describe it #I’m Pennsylvanian #but I don’t have a Pittsburgh or Philly accent #because I’m from the center of the state #traditionally where I grew up a Pennsylvania Dutch accent was common #but younger generations don’t really speak in it anymore #also my family isn’t from the region which also adds to the linguistic puzzle #my original accent was Southern with Appalachian influences #because my family is Appalachian and I learned to talk living in Kentucky #I can still kind of do that accent #but not for very long or very well #I more or less had it trained out of me at a young age #people couldn’t understand what I was saying #so I guess for my accent you can just say East Coast American #even though that’s not really an accent #because we have a ton of those
