why does everyone hate jared? i canāt find any info anywhere. all the posts say they wonāt discuss it on the site. iām kind of new to the fandom.

I have to be honest with you. I love that you've made this blog to call out the bullshit of this part of the fandom, even though I hate that this blog has to exist at all. Hey, I just wanted to say I love your blog. Iāve seen so much Jared hate over years and I seriously just donāt understand it. Most of it is just people being oversensitive or not getting the meaning of a joke. Thank you for not being one of those Jared-hating jerks ;)
Thank you! I donāt understand it either. The oversensitivity is part of it, but Iām positive the main reason for the hate is jealousy and insecurity in their ship(s). They want Misha to be Jensenās BFF, they was Castiel to have Samās importance. And it keeps being turned around on them so much that they resorted to hating on him instead of just enjoying their fanfiction.

It was a joke, he knew it was a joke. I made a point of using a very obvious joking tone. I made a reference to his panel where they had a running joke of him ānot being funnyā
Telling someone that they are ānot funnyā is hardly āmean.ā If anything.
I didnāt tell him I didnāt like him, heck I make a point of reaffirming that no matter whether he is āfunnyā or not I do love him. Plus his shocked expression was more about me calling him āJasmineā than the whole funny thing. People seem to forget about that, the first thing I did when I stood in front of him was call him āJasmine.ā I am pretty sure that after that he knew that whatever followed was meant to be a joke.

Iām pretty sure I read him well enough. I wonder how you, a complete stranger who was not there, would know better than me what the actual tone of the interaction was.
I made a joke that was referencing a joke Jensen made during the panel. So if you think that saying or implying that Jared is not funny means that I hate him I guess Jensen hates him too. Think on that one for a moment. There is no way that is true, you know why? Because itās a fucking joke.

People can say whatever they want in a clearly joking manner, that doesnāt make it not rude. People can also think they know a person well enough, doesnāt mean you actually do.
