i like to imagine he has slight heterochromia. no particular reason other than its cute but i think it kind of resembles his current eye situation a bit as well

i dont think my design could reasonably be made human again 😔 most of his body is his organs and his legs have been reduced to his tail flukes (not anatomically correct for any of his component species, HOWEVER. i imagine his body mostly only had his original tissues to work with; whale flukes are made of a particular tissue structure to retain stiffness, so his body had to make do with his foot bones.

i dont have a nude version of this ref (ill make one eventually probably) but he has two sets of pectoral muscles. his lower remaining arm is slightly more human-proportionate while his upper arms are kind of obscenely long if he stretches them out fully (almost like a gibbon, he’d have to make custom sleeves for anything he wears). also gigantic hands with limited dexterity.

his skin is pretty thick! part of his substance resistance (injection-wise) is that its difficult to determine where his veins are in the case of injection of tranquilization. his size also makes dosage difficult to determine, along with regular tolerance buildup.

he’s also got a lot of scars hypothetically, they’re not drawn here bc this is kind of for animation/frequent redrawing, but any scars he gains would be whitish, like on cetaceans.

he can’t really grow a full/neat beard anymore; any facial hair growth is pretty sparse, like whale whiskers.

compared to a human, he’s kind of hefty, but he’s actually fairly underweight for his mutated body.

chronic pain haver. idk what his spine situation is between simply having his vertebrae elongated or them straight up splitting into new pieces but either way that shit is PAINFUL.

^ in addition to this i imagine a lot of the changes were like a way worse fucked up second puberty. growing pains for the whole body!

i do think he’d still have the tiny shrimp legs from my previous designs; however they rarely grow due to how little energy he can spare and they’re uncomfortable since they… grow out of his lower gills.

his little barbels on his mouth are… mobile? they’re something between tiny fleshy whiskers and vestigial shrimp mouthparts, but they’re not actually used for anything. they kind of just flare outward when he opens his mouth wide enough reflexively.

i think his hair would be really soft

he generally pays a lot of attention to his appearance (helps with his image towards the prisoners he trades with, but also helps him feel more human in a way. both in the sense that he’s gotta look sharp when he returns to the surface but also attempting to mask the fact that he is living a fundamentally different existence from a regular human)
