Idk if it really counts as an arguement, but something I've seen pointed out is how in some other languages/dubs of the show, there aren't really nonbinary/genderless terms, so it defaults to the binary when it comes to the characters
That's something I can't really judge, since I only speak English. I think it's shitty if those other languages chose the pronouns based entirely on the voice actors though.
"Well, she/he sounds like a girl/boy!" or "Well, I'm just basing it on their voice actors!"
Not only is this one directly transphobic towards even binary trans people who don't sound exactly like what you'd expect of their gender, it's also transphobic towards a real life specific transgender person, that real life transgender person being Black's voice actor who has been out as nonbinary for their entire acting career.
Especially if you use the second one of these takes. If you say you're basing the Among Us characters' genders on their voice actors' genders and then call Black a woman, which pretty much everyone using that excuse does, you are misgendering Black's voice actor Liv Hewson who is out as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns and has been both of these things since before they started acting in anything.

so Many people are dumbing down jax to “trans girl” and acting as if her only violation was being trans and not embracing herself sooner. yes it’s a tragedy but she didnt only harm herself… she abused everyone else … the whole time. all the time. constantly. like i feel like some of you guys didn’t watch the show.
Sometimes I consider joining twitter because the among us fandom is bigger there and there are more people like myself to share the interest with me😭🙏 then I remember that twitter is literally run by Elon musk and I shouldn’t go there and add content to it cause I think that should of DIED the moment people found out Elon Musk tried to get on that island and also not to mention that he did NOTHING about Twitter users using Twitter’s built in AI to undress women and young girls who innocently posted themselves CLOTHED on Twitter but also you don’t even need to post yourself cause a country’s news account on Twitter posted a tweet that contained the picture of a girl who was being congratulated for an achievement of hers (if I remember correctly) and immediately there was someone like, “Uuhhh Grok put her in a tiny bikini and baby oil!!!”
so fucking stupid, I don’t get why so many people use Twitter knowing who is the main benefiter of it and these are just only the bad things that I know about Elon. People’s been hating him long before but clearly yall don’t hate him enough if you’re contributing to his app. Like hello?? Bluesky is RIGHT THERE, same features and everything. I feel like the reason, I cant interpret the song as anything else beacuse of Blackness as my identity. Stevie is singing to his daughter, celebrating her birth and the innocence in her before the world can touch her.
When she gets out of the hospital(how i see it) she will not be seen as innocent even if she is a baby. But for a few moments, just a few seconds. When its just her parents and her, she is the most safe she will ever be.

Jax as a character is not innocent. She constantly pushes others away to try to make herself feel right. Of course there was a chance she could go back and fix things, but it was all too late. The possibility of being wonderful and precious, being able to express herself the way she craves. Is snuffed out beacuse if her own decision. Which is the warning.
However, seeing as some in the fandom. (Yes im talking to you guys forget the VAs for a second) were very willing to double down, and sprew racist rhetoric, is on if the reasons its impact is lost on me.
I saw blogs attacking Black blogs simply for saying they were uncomfortable. Someone else said that TADC is better/more popular than Juneteenth. I dont even want to bring up the counltess amount of blogs who said that Black people were overreacting.
Let alone the VAs making racist jokes, including Jax's fully saying the n slur multiple times (Even if he apologized it dosent outweigh the impact) its the exact reason the song is a staple. The outside world has never shown unconditional love so we pour it into our loved ones and ourselves.
Dose it matter when it was said? No. His daughter and many other Black children will go into the world where saying the N slur is considered an edgy phase. One that as long as its years ago, an apology will be accpeted.
As long as you just stop talking about race, instead of actually taking the time to unlearn your biases.
Black children and Black adults will not have the benefit of the doubt if they were to repeat Jax's actions.
A lot of you are fully willing to go on deep dives. To interpret every little detail of your favorite character. You will rewatch media. Analyze every bit of what the author says, even take the time to do research into the exact time period/ hints left in a show or movie.
But the second it comes to race, you refuse to dig deeper because the topic makes you uncomfortable.
You want me to believe you guys were able to pick up context clues about TADC. Some of which you make a point to yell about to others to chide them for not knowing. Then you will turn around and pretend not to understand? That"Its just a song" that it "Can be interpreted many ways, why bring up race?"
