There was so much potential in making yugo age so quickly and painfully. It’s been done very well before, with ocarina of time link and Lloyd from Ninjago ( Granted it’s been like a decade since I watched Ninjago so I can’t say for certain how good his writing is )
Link and Lloyd both have to learn to navigate the world with their newfound power but lost their childhood innocence in the process and now they’ve been saddled with the responsibility of being heroes of prophecy. And we could’ve had something similar with Yugo, with the already existing pressure of being the king of the eliatropes. Now that he’s older he has no excuse for being too afraid to free his people. but instead we get yugo with a six pack and the power of god having learned nothing so :\
Don’t get me wrong I love Wakfu, the whole reason I’m so critical of wakfu is because of how much I love it ( if I didn’t like the show I wouldn’t bother ) but I hate almost everything after season 2. because they stripped all the whimsy and intrigue the world had and replaced it with butchered versions of the characters, retcons and, seemingly ( this is what it looks like to me ) only aging yugo up so they could legally draw amalia and yugo fucking on the FIRST PAGES OF THE COMIC LIKE WHAT??? ( and I know that was a dream but my point still stands that shit is weird ) the weird shit they did with Elely in season 3 too it was really gross and should be acknowledged
And I know that the comic actually attempts to expand on the world the other 11 kingdoms that they remembered existed. but it’s a little hard to stick around for the shitty world building when that’s the FIRST thing you see.
Maybe it’s just my nostalgia talking but, there was so much potential for something so cool and interesting but we got this shit and it makes me so mad dude.
Also I hate the eliasphere. what was the point of destroying the eliacube if you need the basically the same object to defeat the Necros that shit makes no sense to me.
