doing the dishes.. opening the windows to let in fresh air.. washing and changing bed linens.. baking a loaf of bread... neatening and nurturing the wardrobe.. sorting through clutter and the drawers.. organising the books... picking up things from the floor.. hand washing delicates..

spring necessities: white linen, olive oil, soft lighting, a pile of novels to read, pistachio & vanilla ice cream, a smooth leather notebook, white wine, homemade saffron & cardamom tiramisu, plentiful sleep and plentiful breakfasts, hearty mugs of chai, nourishing unscented hand-cream, french butter, assorted chocolates, white button up, an organised bookshelf, kissing on the street

The social attitude regarding age is consistently getting weirder. You’re not ‘pushing 30’ you’re just in your late 20s. 30 is not old and neither is 40 while I’m at it. Growing older is an enormous privilege and displaying that age is a gorgeous component of life. Spending your days trying to reverse that grace breeds an eternally wasted life.
