Hate to see you go but I get it. I gave up years ago and it’s always on my mind but I rarely express my thoughts haven’t been able to find likeminded women irl ever. I try and bring up loving ourselves especially our natural hair, being mindful in dating and not falling for the black love trap that is really mulling posed as love and no one gives af. They think I’m bitter and can’t get a man despite those idiots being willing to F anything 🙄 it’s such a lost cause and only a handful of black women get it. Maybe even less. I’m barely online now except to add to my small poetry blog on here but living in this world as a black woman means seeing all sorts of stupidity and it will literally kill you how hateful it is. Like I don’t even watch it but I just witnessed the way BLACK, monoracial women spoke on and continue to speak on the dark black women on that perverted love island and it really depressed me. Yeah it’s a shitty show but those are real women and when you have videos with near million likes talking about how they’re manly, ‘ugly’ Afro textured hair or calling black women out of their names for not sleeping with black men or just a number of other things it gets to you. I dumped real friends for this because it gets to a point. These days half the time these self hating freaks are the ones creating new things for whites and non blacks to judge because they’re the ones nitpicking by going online and highlighting that not only isnt an issue but shit other races never even thought about us. Then they play victim once it’s a thing. It’s like bitch you brought this to the forefront! They want everyone to be the same loser as them and they don’t want varied black women to exist because when you are and want better you’re deemed white washed or self hating or all sorts of things. Mind you these are the ones trying to claim wigs, baby mama culture, fighting, being willing to die for degenerates and hating their own hair and male obsession as black culture. I tapped out when I created discourse from saying washing your hair often and wearing it is the only way to get used to it. Accused of policing. They’re dumb as fuck. They love seeing themselves as non human others and absolutely do NOT want better. It’s a disease and I get not wanting to hand out the cure anymore. hey! i saw your thinking about deleting this blog and to be honest, do what’s best for your mental health! not everyone wants to change and be better even if that leads to more fulfillment in the future. black womens issue with low self esteem is our worst enemy and it’s so sad as we are so great in many ways but we can’t see it. hopefully collectively we will all wake up and see our worth and remove ourselves from other people. your not the only one who feels this way, other black women who are similar to you that i know want to throw in the towel and i get it!

please, even if you never log back in here please keep this blog up. you're the nucleation point for so much mind expansion, it would be such a shame to lose this resource. i hope you don't delete but do whatever you need to do to take care of yourself, either way i'll always be grateful for your words 💛

I agree with you. I got into divestment as a teen and liked the idea of putting ourselves first but it quickly devolved into something conservative, mean and kind of pathetic. And it out me off because I’m gay and a lot of BW really hate lesbians and see us as the wrong type of woman almost resentful of us for ‘escaping heterosexuality’ and everything that comes with being make attracted. The sexual weirdo who is tainting the image of black women. Especially studs. I’ve seen so many vile things about GNC from other black women it’s so sad. And look how they treat any black lesbian character on tv it’s all ‘she’s a cia ploy to make black women look undesirable’ 😭 and other homophbia rhetoric especially when they’re dark skinned. But lately I’ve been seeing a minor change in those places because I do sometimes check in and ive seen some of the more popular accounts on twitter at least, come around. The still only want black women to be hyper feminine which isnt great but there’s been more people talking about embracing natural hair, being healthy, making friends and moving up the career ladder. Less uplifting yt men because it seems some are waking up that while BM have left BW out to dry yt men and other races aren’t necessarily our saviour either.
