Summary:
"Troy, stop," Cristine demanded. She didn't look at him, not even when she felt him cage her entirely between the door and himself, arms at either side of her body with his hands pressing into the door. Her eyes fluttered from the building pressure in her sockets. The upper corner of her lips twitched from holding back her urge to scream and cry at the same time.
Troy saw it all in front of him like a recorded movie and whispered, "not until you tell me the truth. Say that I'm right." Cristine didn't say anything for a long time and didn't want to argue, not when she wasn't sure what it would mean if she would fold under Troy's pressure and admit it. The familiar streak in his voice made her breath hitch. It was the tone that balanced on the fringe of reason and excited madness. Cristine bit her lower lip and glared at the floor. She didn't want to talk about this anymore, not when emotions started to run high and the thread of reason and insanity blurred. It was like toppling into the depth of everything dark and perverse of waiting to swallow them both whole with imminent ruin and self-destruction.
