Has a million and one tattoos designed, and knows where he wants them all to go - he just canât decide which to get first
He likes drawing and painting on himself, though, and natural pigments like henna and jagua to âpracticeâ future tattoos
His lobes and cartilage are pierced, and his ear jewelry never matches - earrings are also one of his favorite things to give and receive as gifts
He had a tongue stud as a teenager, but had to take it out because he just couldnât get used to it. Only Muriel remembers the Lisp Era
Might get a genital piercing - heâs definitely thought about it, but heâs hesitant to go for it until he meets more people whoâve gotten and endorse them
Has been pierced before, but he always takes them out; he always fiddles with piercings too much for them to heal properly
As much as it appeals to him as a masochist, itâs probably better he doesnât get in the habit of flipping that switch himself
Tattoos, though? Just try and stop him. Itâs practically a mandatory bonding activity for sailors to pick up tattoos, and obviously, heâs good at keeping them clean
Heâs got nautical coordinates, Nevivon folk art, a traditional Prakran sigil for safety at sea, and so, so much sailor ink
Happy to explain the symbolism of any of them, although some heâll have to describe to you, instead of showing them off in polite company
One tattoo, a pretty design of feathers and flowers in pale pink ink like Chandraâs feathers on her shoulder blade. She was insanely nervous beforehand, surprisingly stoic during, and never caught the itch afterward
She can certainly understand the appeal, and she does like showing it off, but since then, she hasnât felt an impetus for another
Her lobes and cartilage are all single-pierced, and she likes to coordinate her jewelry to her outfit - rainbow pearls are her favorites
She also has her septum done, but only wears a ring in it for special occasions; otherwise, she just keeps a small, very subtle bar in to keep it open
When she does put in septum jewelry, though, it takes all her focus not to fidget with it, and complimenting it makes her blush like no other

He gets why other people like body modification, but he just doesnât have the same experience of it - it doesnât give him a sense of control, and he doesnât see the point in ornamentation
Piercings are a hard no - the possibility they might not even take and leave him with yet another scar (with a much stupider story than the other ones) is a huge deterrent, and the fact that they get caught on things
The closest he might get would be a tattoo of Kokhuri design, something small and subtle that reminds him of where he came from
But even so, he can think of a hundred better ways to honor his lost tribe
Dying to have two full sleeves of sailor tattoos - she just has to have adventures to commemorate, first

Just like his âbelow the beltâ piercings - sure, he had to take a two-month dry spell while they healed, but every partner since has thanked him for it
