P1 READY ! (ap.)

i think you will be quite happy to see a few of my lil babies on this page (ahem astrid ahem )

so i just want to throw this out there : ae-sook will introduce herself by her anglicized name, artemis choi, 99% of the time. she uses this name as her public persona, for any new people she meets, and it is her legal name in america. in narration, i will refer to her, and she will refer to herself, as ae-sook, because that is her name. that is who she knows herself as. but people don’t usually know her real name unless they are super close and / or family.

   her attentions focuses back on him, and she raises her brow. her expression falters, a narrow of her eyes.   “ you don’t know who i am? ”    she’s joking, entirely. a dramatic sigh breaks her lips before she reaches out to take the wine glass being offered to her by the bartender, a thankful smile in their direction.    “ i’m not sure if i should pay for your drink now, i’m offended. ”   the woeful tone behind her last words, matched with splayed fingers to her chest, makes it an obvious joke. she looks at him, a wry smile.    “ my name’s artemis. you can call me ari, if you want. ”

      a laugh, she readjusts herself on the bar stool to turn and look at him. she glances briefly toward his leg. a curious furrow of her brow before her attention is back to his face. “ i meant --- i don’t think i can buy you a girl. i think that’s illegal. but i’m no cop. ”    she rolls her shoulders in a shrug before she grabs the attention of the bartender with a wave of her hand.   “ i’ll have a glass of your house chardonnay, and whatever he wants. put it on my tab. ”      

       fingers stir the straw in her drink absently as she looks over to him, a raised brow.   “ well. i can buy you two of those things. except. one of them might be illegal in this state. so how about i just buy you a drink? ”
