Every time I read or watch something pride and prejudice, I have to be reminded of people's hatred toward Lydia :(. She was my favorite when I first read the book, and now I just feel so bad for her cause she was 15, assaulted, and trapped in a marriage with a terrible man. Even in adaptations that go out of their way to recontextualize other characters like Collins or Wickham (yuck), they portray Lydia as ungrateful and annoying. Like she's a child, and in my opinion, funnier than the rest of that flop family

I'm so deeply fond of the Muppet joker, a living masterpiece of the digital age. Their entire identity is only understandable to the chronically online, and yet they are so firmly grounded reality. And religion! Catholicism and Kentucky, the ancient urge to be psychosexually obsessed with an object. Alexander the Great sleeping with his copy of the Odyssey, becoming Achilles out of pure obsession. The Muppet joker is our emperor,overtly sexual and transgressive--every reference, each rant, done with such glee that you have to bow down in reverance.
