yes I will interpret your taylor swift hate as misogyny. because it is. ——
I love her to death and back but is it misogynistic to sometime think that she doesn’t treat her partners with respect?. At least from an outside perspective I guess, which doesn’t really mean much.
I do not care who she’s with or who she’s been with in her past. it just always seemed to me that whoever she was with, was in a one sided relationship. It could be a privacy thing but also…. It’s okay to praise a partner in public & not only when she’s rolling out an album.
For example, She recently just got married and all the tabloids have been spewing this week is how she cancelled and “abandoned” her honeymoon fly back to NY and to go cry over an ex, and how that person was the love of her life and soulmate and how she wanted to marry him instead but settled. then her actual husband was pictured the very same day alone, getting off a plane with all his vacation luggage while Taylor and her cars are seen in NY.
idk, it’s just the optics I guess, she lets all these people and tabloids run their nonsense and instead of correcting them, she does the exact opposite and leans into their narrative. It makes it seem like she has little to no respect for her partners. Now, this is all just optics, as I said, but for someone of such a big status, it’s odd how she lets narratives continue even if it’s detrimental to people she “cares” for.
It’s misogynistic to hate Taylor Swift for things you conveniently don’t hate other celebrities for. And yes, it’s misogynistic (and illogical) to scrutinize her love life and condemn her character over speculation. Do you do this to other celebrities?
